Wow. some branches of the Bahamian economy are flourishing! What is it called "international trade"? Maybe we should go back to becoming pirates in the open, rather than pretending to be clean and being pirates behind the storefront. At least this would make it easier to market to the bad guys. Like we did with the number houses. That will be like horse sh** attracting flies.

yes, Bahamian first. right?

Mt. Turnquest may be right, but its none of his business. When will the BS politicians accept the fact that the politics and government have to stay out of private business/contracts/decisions? I am absolutely convinced that Mr. Izmirlian and his crew have the expertise, or should have the expertise to deal with that. So Mr. Turnquest, suggest you focus on political issues. thank you.

Chinese construction companies have long been detected as prolonged arm of China's financial and political imperialism. The quality of their work is bad, they are thoroughly corrupt both on the receiving and giving side, and as proven with many electricity projects and infrastructure projects in LatAm and Africa dominated by a hit and run mentality. The damage is done for the Bahamas, when you have a bad development such as the Baha Mar white elephant, you are stuck with the interest rates to the Chinese Banks. Modern Enslavement.

I think there are more interesting fillers for a newspaper than this one, maybe a Garfield Comic?
