40 MW short before Baha Mar comes fully onto the grid. What is he and the management of BEC as well as the leadership of this Country thinking? Good luck and good night. At least we don't need anybody to turn off the lights at night.
when he refers to a long hot summer, I can only guess he meant the season starting with him dancing @ BahamaCarnivankanoo in May, disputes with the Unions, the announced wrestling match between him and union leaders on Rawson Square, continuous carpet bagging by the PLP on the Power Crisis in the Bahamas, Mario's Bowling not paying its BEC bills, some wife slapping, and him leaving the PLP - or not.
Hey lets by all Happy, right? At least the BFA has finally a pitch to play FIFA games incl. the properly approved restroom and changing facilities, unlike for the qualifiers for Brazil. I believe this is a major achievement for the Bahamas and should be celebrated accordingly. Who needs a win anyway, ey?
to make this perfectly clear. Baha Mar and its management never cared about investing in relationships with any of its providers, constructor, subs. We participated in two RFP's that were handled very unprofessionally. I am glad we did not get the job, we would probably have to fight for every dollar. If you lay down with dogs, you may wake up with flees. Am not surprised that a further delay in opening is announced three days before the soft opening is supposed to happen. So - the tourists that booked stay home now until May?
U Sound like a russian. But this ain't russia. We r supposed to be a democracy with free speech instead we r an oligarchy that does everything to dumb down the people w cheap booze unhealthy food and lack of education and suppression of thinking. I guess I am not a fan of Georges and his inflammatory way but if he gets shut down there's others that need to be shut down too. For the sake of all of our mental health
"can match any offer", right. that is exactly why you don't get any viable bidders under the RFP in the first place. No due process, corruption etc. FOCOL? really, dear PM are you offsetting what we paid too much to FOCOL over the past 20 years with their agreement? Can they put up a performance bond? dream on. This thing is way too far down on the same path like the referendum. We wont see any decision ever.
