its called play money or funny money. like losing in court in the ahh soo frivolous law suits from the foreigners illegally kicked out of the country, or going up in flames at BAMSI. I think the Government members are hooked to these failures like a drug addict to his stuff. Only way to get them away from it is let them go cold turkey. take away the money so they cant play anymore.
I doubt that Mr. Beek is Bahamian, by Nationality. He is one of the persons helping our country making great headlines.. Mr. Beek is an achiever and I congratulate him for this super performance and I thank him to share his personal fame with the Bahamas by putting up a Bahamian flag. I would also ask Mr. Beek to be nice and courteous to all of his subordinates at Deltec Bank (not that he is not), particularly the Bahamian ones, to give a lot of money to the local Church (not that he would not), never drink, never say a bad word about this Government (Not that he is or would), never to smile at the wrong person, to breath the Bahamian air with respect, kiss the ground whenever he lands in our Bahamalands. If not, he may be the next foreigner with a target on his back being sent home by the self-proclaimed "Ethical Business Practice Policy" run by Hon. Mr. of Immigration.
A doctor, like a lawyer or a dentist are business models. Thanks to the failed Gov of the Bahamas, as a student that graduates from high school locally is not an asset to anybody but a liability to begin with. So to move from liability to asset side, the student or his parents or a third party, or a bank will lend money or invest in this student, until he becomes a Doctor, Lawyer, Dentist. Now, I must ask the Hon. Mr. Minister, why in the world, would the student, now graduated Doctor, Lawyer, Dentist, give even more to the failed Government of the Bahamas by forfeiting income? If half of the population is acting stupid that does not mean the other half has act stupid too.
I hate to say it, but Minnis talks like the current P.M. talked a few years ago. Get real. Bahamian ownership will happen, if Bahamians cough up their money (that they hoard in foreign banks).
I hope the pope's morale and ethos is rubbing off. Did they discuss the constitutional referendum about gender equality? treatment of refugees, foreigners? basic human rights for the sick, disabled, outcast in the Bahamian society? Corruption? Environment? I am glad, finally we are on the path to salvation. I bet the picture with the Pope will be sitting on the Hon. Amb.'s Desk as a lawyer starting next Monday.
