I can tell she works tirelessly.... she sweats. I would like to see pictures with her lounging in EVA AIR business class flying to kiss the Chinese Emperors' feet.
Not sure the self-proclaimed "Ministry of Ethos and Moral Standards in the Bahamas" is in the right hands with the Minister of Immigration. As posted earlier in a thread, this is not a matter of immigration, rather a matter of the respective businesses to deal with, possibly the Labor Board. There are ways how to deal with that in courts (contractually or even criminally as it may fit), if the issues arise to that level. So please government, mind your own business and leave the business community alone. There are more disgruntled and falsely entitled employees in the Bahamas, than a@hole bosses (they exist too, of course).
P.S.: It must be sometimes really hard not to be noticed as a public figure.
yes, but see the Government is consistent in one way: Its philosophy is "as long as we score more goals than we receive - we win". Will say, rather than building a good defense ("fiscal discipline"), they just invest in expensive forwards ("tax the s#it out of the people and businesses"). Our government and MP higher ups still love to go to lunch at pricey restaurants in downtown Nassau and I bet it wont be from their own pockets.
yes and when you consider what you get in exchange (no power, no internet, attitude, no work permits, shitty cars on the street, poor education etc.) and on top of all that the Bahamas is getting beaten up as a "low tax jurisdiction" and "Offshore IFC" on a daily basis. We have chosen the worst of all ways.
good. I agree with BIA, it is a war going on, just no one dares to call it that way. The government want to nationalize the health system, its probably a combination of a few personal vendettas, combined with trying to win the election, now that the elephant on Cable Beach turned white and is about to die. NHI is the perfect tool to implement to garnish political goodwill and dump the financial consequences on anybody taking the reign after PGC. BIA is now just doing what the Government, and its lapdog KPMG, has done to BIA over the past year in this area.
I think we should hold a little celebration. They are breaking all the records. It is 14th January and they have the first meeting. When is the event again? May? Even for a school graduation, people are preparing more thoroughly, carefully and with better time management. Where does the government find all these people? The ones I meet on the street and on the job have a brain and some common sense (for most parts).

Count me in as an "interested Investor" too. I take it if its not too expensive. Granma left me some money when she passed.
