seems Mr. Bowe is the new Mr. D'Aguilar for the Tribune. Is there no one else out there with an opinion on things? He is named in at least 3 articles today only.
I don't think we can blame Mr. Mitchell. He properly has to enforce the law and the law is clear on cases like that. I wish the law would be equally enforced in comparable situations. So I do wonder whether Music Festivals do apply for work permit for the performers. I think the issue is more that there seems to be no or insufficient infrastructure for dental treatment on many islands, and the dental professional body simply does not care. Well, seems they will get some of their own medicine once NHI is implemented by not getting paid at rates they want to see. Back to the immigration side of things, eventually there should be a general waiver for humanitarian not for profit operations, in which the performing doctors/nurses etc. don't take personal pay.
Mitchell, you got it wrong again. Take the money they were paid by the Chinese. And make them National Heroes for moving illegals from the territory of the Bahamas. Are these the people you had in mind to nominate for the Lignum Vitae award? Com'on. cater to your crowd of floggers and haters.
yes, he may be a bad example. however in these days, I would not recommend a non-working foreign spouse to an expat to even consider cutting her children's hair herself, or be a Yoga teacher and take donations. This government is feeding its people's fear. get Bahamar going and you reduce the amount of fear and anxiety in this country by 10,000 per cent already.
