How many PLPs you think are registered? All those on the march the other day perhaps? Perry is in a no win situation right now. He won't call an election until he knows the numbers are in his favor. Last time he knew things were grim and waited until the last moment and still lost. This time will be no different.
As far as I know Minnis is still the leader of the FNM- just not their voice in parliament. Your saying "I'm no fan of Minnis but hey the party elected him. True the system of stalwarts and councillors is flawed but people like only when it works in their favor." Admits to a corrupt system- But in case you haven't noticed- he is still king under that system- just nowhere else where a true and open democracy prevails. This was a lawful political move and should have happened long ago.
This is not about LBT and stop trying to make it so. She is one of seven politicians making the decision and the best one among them to take the lead voice in parliament- since she 'can talk' in a way that seems to beguile Bahamians. Evaluate her on what comes out of her mouth for a change.
Last nights introduction of Minnis as the next Prime Minister of the Bahamas truly scared the sheet out me. Sorry FNM. I couldn't vote FNM with the seven and won't be voting for FNM without them. The problem for you isn't the seven - it's your so called leader who got Goosied on the floor of parliament yesterday. You have to remember that the FNM could never win with just the people in the room from last night. Your leader does not appeal to the wider population and has done a piss poor job as leader of the opposition. He is painfully incompetent and the sooner you all realize that the better for us all.
Banker- do we have to go there with the "fat" comments? It makes you look small minded. Why Bahamians begrudge other Bahamians with money? Does money = "entitlement"? LBT the only rich person in parliament?
Sure- tell those women to step into the arena. If they aren't in the arena then what they might be and do don't really count. LBT might be the "face" of this move, but she didn't act alone. And doing this doesn't mean anyone is conceding power. That doesn't seem to be the FNM way and it sure isn't the Bahamian way historically. So what if she wants power- everyone who gets into politics is hoping for that on some level. Jeff Lloyd just reach last week and said openly that if he is called upon he will be open to lead. The 'proper' way is that you are supposed to want it, and not say you want it eh? Or is it just women who are supposed to play that game? No criticism of "just reach" Lloyd...
BS- this is how democracy works. we are so used to dictatorship and sitting small that we get nervous when someone actually exercises their right to dissent. You sound Trumpian with this BS.
