The Chief of Staff for the hospital walked off the job and is waiting for Brown to apologize, the hospital cant seem to account for money already given to it- to the tune of millions, Bahamian unemployment is sky high, BPL can't keep the flickin lights on at the hospital, or anywhere else, the availability and distribution of medication is confusing, VAT killing us, people still haven't recovered from the hurricane and they are about to introduce another tax burden with no gain or clear return? The PLP don't have a clue WHO they dealing with. If they were scared about the warm-up march last week- watch out for January. PLP you have woken the anger in a quiet, retiring people. Nobody in the world like a Bahamian who always willing to give people a chance- but ya'll about to get bun.
Just when you think it can't get any worse with these jokers, they hit a new low. They can't even see how bad everything they do - is - and appears to the people. Their head is really deep in their own backsides. Unbelievable.
Two people dead for $8000? And the convicted are claiming that they are having a hard time adjusting to prison. Good Lord. Calling for the DP is necessary because a crime like this is sociopathic and psychopathic and deserves it- but everyone knows it is only a symbolic gesture. It won't happen but since they won't be needing the bus for awhile, there needs to be a second prison constructed on Grand Bahama for convicts like this once they have been convicted, where psychological research can be done on them. A few phDs might come out of it from the University of the Bahamas as a result and the research might benefit us. Just saying...
This is a sad story all around. The mother has to think this through but I noticed that the boy was not on medication, had refused medication and needed to return to Sandilands to receive it- and he was resisting. The Mother was attempting to get him a ride to take him to Sandilands. Sandilands now- not some place a plane ride away or on another island, but someplace less than two or three miles from his house and that was taking her what appears to be weeks to make those arrangements. This has little to do with triggers and a lot to do with his separation form his medication. This is also an example of mental illness compounded by poverty and a lack of assistance from the community. How can we address this? Maybe Sandilands should have a shuttle service designed to collect outpatients unable to, but needing to come in for treatment. There are far too many like him out there. Sad.
Emac- they are weak, useless cowards drinking at the teat of the public purse. Useless cowards ALL. They don't have one ounce of the courage and daring that young man and the people who chose to march have and they realize they are about to be cut off from their breast milk. This very proposal is insulting to the organizers and the marchers and reeks of desperation. The least they could have done is find a man that would be good for the bet! Everybody know Leslie can't pay. But joking aside politics is a dirty game and Miller is one of the dirtiest - trying to appeal to ego and base instincts because that is what he understands best. He is a good dirty politician and like most of his comrades, he can't do much else. He has nothing to show for his time in office- not one piece of legislation, one one proposal enacted to make this country run better. All these dudes need to cyah their behinds and he need to lead that conga line into obscurity.
Banker- You extended yourself to eloquence! Here! Here! Couldn't agree with you more regarding truth. Never seen such duplicity in all my life. Everything is upside down in this country. People believe a lie before they believe the truth. People tell you a lie in preference to the truth. When you are honest you are laughed at and mocked and when you rob and steal and get away with it - you are a big man. We value politrickans, pastors, number men and gang leaders in this country. These are THE most powerful people in this country. They have captured the minds, hopes and dreams of the people and they are ALL liars- in some cases pathological. Truth? In the Bahamas? Man that ketch that last mailboat to the back side of Andros a long time ago. Not a church goer, but its as if there is some kind of spirit of deception over this place- Never seen anything like it. We have to fight on. Can't leave the country in the hands of these Philistines and Pharisees.
