None of that matters in the Bahamas. Insurance companies here are greedy and unethical. I have never seen a dumber group of employees in my life. This suggestion tops it all. Almost unbelievable - except this is the Bahamas.

should she be in parliament if she is a convicted fraudster? Do we have any rules in this country?

This is the most sense i have heard in sometime. "If the living wage is at $45,000, but the average is actually at $17,000, people have three choices: Beg, steal and borrow,” he told Tribune Business. “That’s why they borrow so much. The bottom line is not people are living above their means; they don’t have the means to live." - end of story.
This foolishness government/so called economists are saying about Bahamians not saving is just to justify the raising of even more taxes.

So he left on a 25ft boat and was found on a 19ft boat with no sign of the other man- Russell?

Say what you want about Wilson- but he is spot on with this one. I thought Perry was dim- but at least he could dial up some personality on occasion. And though he was overly paternalistic towards - and hence didnt do much for the most challenged in society- Minnis is another farm animal altogether. Minnis doesn't have one, not one good idea up his sleeve. And he has a public personality equal to a paper cup. It is embarrassing and I would say painful - especially when you witness his ineptitude live, up close and in living color. I wince in sheer amazement that there was no one in the party to move him out of the way. Nobody? He might be a dr. but he ain't bright at all. Ambitious but not bright- and he knows it. He doesn't represent us well. His strength comes in knowing people's price and willingness to reward their capacity to make him feel better. Their competence matters not. They prop up his ego and help to prop him up in the face of challenge. Hence the phenomenons known as Lanisha.

These fellas commit to this criminal lifestyle and what do they get from it? I don't know this boy story but from these reports too many still walking. Can't even buy a Japanese car? Either these fellas weak minded and easily get pulled into the BS, are not too bright and constantly exhibit poor judgement or they are on a suicide mission. This is a sad state of affairs.

The truth is the announcement of these "honors" should be accompanied by a nice paragraph or two detailing their "extraordinary contributions" to the betterment of the Bahamas. But unfortunately these honors have become politicized by both parties and are a complete and utter farce. Most are NOT deserving of a baggie of guinep and will be forgotten the moment life departs whether they be PLP and FNM, red and yellow, black or white- So stop this loud mouth unproductive partisan or race baiting BS. Its all crap. We allow these do nuttin politicians to drop a load on everything. This place will never be mistaken for a meritocracy and it's committed to mediocrity. Gets worse each day.
