I think you are confusing CIBC with RBC. RBC is the govt's bank, and already limited in branch transactions a long time ago. They also pay zero interest on savings accounts.
I suspect that most of these Canadian banks will do the same, knowing full well they could never get away with this madness in Canada.
“Suggesting that the Bahamas was being forced to adopt rules that did not favour small, vulnerable economies such as its own, Sir Franklyn said one potential 'saving grace' was this nation's relatively small size, which may prove unattractive to major foreign companies.”
Meanwhile the Bahamas is the ONLY country in this hemisphere that is not a member of the WTO. Smaller, less developed island states seem to be doing just fine benefiting from the positives WTO membership affords them.
Oh please. The civil service is not to be stacked with lousy and lazy workers at the expense of taxpayers. Get real. Our civil service is at least 5 times larger than it ought to be, and 500 times less efficient than we deserve for what it costs us. Get the economy going so that jobs are aplenty and shrink the civil service by another 10,000. These unions are crippling govt and businesses with their unreasonable demands. They represent poor workers and exploit them with huge salaries that they (union leaders) would never be able to earn in the private sector. Looking out for themselves.
Is this the same Dr. Darville, whose wife is quick to also add employees to the unemployment line if they don’t attend her cult church? Dr. Darville accomplished absolutely nothing during his ministership in Freeport, and so far the FNM has nothing to show for their years of calling him out on it. Freeport is in a mess.

On many occasions, I have had to drive from ATM to ATM to find one that isn't full to complete my deposit.
If they are totally banning customers from making deposits in branches, hopefully they find a solution to this frustrating nightmare first.

I called the branch and understand that fees for both deposits and withdrawals are $4.50, regardless of amount.
