Thats the level of ignorance that persists from Bahamians daily...of course tye public had no comments because they probably couldnt fit fnm or plp in their response, just like we ignore the stories about pedophilia and sexual crimes of bahamian and foreign men alike...oh wait im sure someone will say the stress og minnis lockdown is to blame.
"We don’t want to go to Nassau or Grand Bahama to quarantine, we want to go directly to Abaco,” Ms Lanes told The Tribune. “It seems Nassau and Grand Bahama have been helped but Abaconians have been left in the cold once again.”...
Life is a black mirror episode now. I just watched a video of a woman screaming outside red lobster because her to go order was taking to long, another one of a bunch of caucasians carrying on outside another restaurant because they refused to social distance cause the food wait time was to long. Interestingly in both those videos, the persons thought they were wronged or ignored. Human society's fragilily is very evident these days, maybe we need a little red lobster, liquor, company to hold it together or something. Either way seems we have convinced ourselves. Also, why keep recording it and posting it online? Have ppl become so addicted to social media and gratification, likes, is it recogniton, loneliness, da fuck? I wonder how workers will adjusting if e commerce, online, no need for brixk mortar environment is tomorrows way of the life - the growing potential for isolation?
I dont know every issue bpl has other than its bpl, but clearly they need to be dragged into the future, or just the present. When they took minnis on the tour last year or whatever it was, bpl control room looked liked the 1st star trek enterprise. Im not a mechanical engineer but i know outdated tech when i see it.
..its a little annoying this line about how Abaco is a cash cow, Abaco is not the only place that pays taxes and contributes to the treasury. Furthermore, some white abaconians seem to borde on racist or at the very least entitled. Just let your second home owners rebuild Abaco then.
Lol. I dont know who told brave davis he is some great orator. But minnis can really be tiresome to listen to - and i know he was referring to the substance.
"...so one can go to the family island by ferry and not by plane..." anyway if business x dont know why planes are problematic...but im sure ppl would fly.
It is very interesting, also we should add some of workforce believe that business should be open; further, are employers/mr roberts considering adjusting their traditonal business models...has he added a pickup or delievery feature, even shield guards...dont know havent been in supervalue
People are allowed to complain and be frustrated, nonetheless. abaco was not getting rebuilt in 8 months it didnt matter who was in charge. Abaco will not be rebuilt in the next 8 months.
There was no notice, but i dont think its unfair to ask where you going travelling and its looking like a pandemic. Alternatively, if you away why you should begin to look into heading home.
Some of the story about students being stuck i understand, put my family and friends who where in school in america were home from february/ march i feel, befoe we went into.lockdown. furthermore, things picked up around american spring break, remember the florida beaches issues, they werent in school. Any school of substance was emailing them to take note that some pa demic like signs are stiring up, decide what you doing, classes are online.
Nonethless, i have no issues with your govt beinging ypu home.
