Gomez is leaving because he doesn't want to be associated any longer with a government that has lost all sense of right or wrong - he just doesn't have the b@lls to say so.

They say that Phase One of the scheme will cover Primary Care? Exactly what will that cover? No much I suspect! As soon as anyone needs to see a consultant then they will be on the usual waiting list, just as before. Personally, I hope the local doctors decide not to join the scheme until government produces a clear road map with cover and costings properly thought through and agreed by all stakeholders. This government treats the electorate like imbeciles.

Pinder's repitation was being tarnished by his remaining in Christie's cabinet. He just wanted out. I suspect the "offer of a lifetime" was just a smokescreen. What I don't understand is why he thought hooking up with the PLP was a good idea in the first place - isn't he supposed to be intelligent?

Disgraceful performance by Immigration Department. Mr. Rufa shouldn't hold his breath waiting on an apology from Fed Mitchell. Meanwhile Christie tries to persuade foreigners to invest in The Bahamas. Why would any foreign investor want to invest in a country whose Immigration Department is so blatantly anti foreigner?

The doctors can stop this NHI idea dead in its tracks. All they have to do is collectively refuse to sign up. That will stall things until the FNM re-takes the government, cancels the current scheme and works towards putting an alternative together that the country can afford. This would involve allowing persons with private health care to keep their policy coverage and concentrate on creating something better for those with no cover. I believe that most people lucky enough to have a job won't mind paying a little extra in NIB contribution to pay for such a scheme. Allowing government to effectively Nationalise the Private Health care industry would be a huge mistake. So we need the doctors, the Insurers and the Public at large to resist this hair brained scheme with all the passion and energy that can be mustered.

The PLP will mismanage the country until the last hour of the last day of their five year term. They will peck the remaining flesh off of the rotting carcass that is The Bahamas. This is what you get when you vote for vultures.

Mitchell should realize that the press did not "create" the story - Wayne Munroe did that all by himself with his Facebook rant.

Excellent article articulating the views of all right thinking Bahamians.

"Magistrate Forbes ruled last Tuesday that there was no evidence to show that Mr Justilien had illegally entered the Bahamas in June as previously alleged."

Speaking outside the House of Assembly on Wednesday, Mr Miller said he is “sorry” if he offended anyone from the Crisis Centre, but he is not sorry for what he said. “I don’t have anything to apologise for,”

Jeez is it "Potcake" or "Pothead"?

On Miller refuses to apologise to Crisis Centre
