The country is faced with the actions of a government desperate to fulfill even one goal from its fairytale of a manifesto. This administration has no interest in sharing the PWC study with the public and the industry stakeholders. It would only expose the truth which is the country cannot afford NHI (as envisioned by PGC) at this time. The PLP is prepared to destroy private health care as we know it and replace it with an inferior and unworkable scheme simply to hoodwink its core voters into re-electing them. This party has no scruples and no shame.
If Hubert Minnis has the best interests of this country at heart, he will offer to resign as leader of the FNM. Why would anyone want to lead a party when he has so little popular support? Come on Dr M, put your ego to one side and let someone else take the baton from here. If you decide to stubbornly cling to your position the consequences for The Bahamas could be catastrophic.
Sanigest, government and the BIA all have vested interests to protect. However, I would be more likely to trust the BIA on this rather than the other two.
The prison school bus is a national disgrace. Politicians of both major parties should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this ridiculous practice to continue. The Bahamas is such a third world country in so many ways.
"The government has said NHI will be phased in over a five-year period".
no it won't because this government won't be in power that long. The new administration will stop this nonsense right in its tracks. The country needs to improve the current public healthcare system NOT destroy the private health system out of spite. Mr. Christie, your days are numbered as PM, make the best of the time you have left and don't try and destroy what little is working in this country, a country that you and your cohorts are trying desperately to suck the life blood from as your depart.
Mr Rolle's seems to be a decent guy and his comments are sensible but this doesn't reconcile with his membership of the "yellow mafia". You can't have it both ways Mr. Rolle. Either you believe in truth, honesty and justice or you remain on the side of darkness.
