How do Bahamian estate agents justify a fee of 6% of the selling price? In countries like the UK for example the charge is in the region of 1.5% No wonder so many people are queuing up to be estate agents here.
Come on, we all know they will cling onto power until the last hour of the last day. They don't care about what's best for the country only how many deals they can do for themselves and their cronies. I'm afraid we are going to have to suffer for a while longer.
If Christie and the PLP drag Izzie into local bankruptcy then I predict BahaMar will not open until 2017. Matters will likely go all the way to the Privy Council and no work will be able to be done on the project until there is complete legal clearance. Is the PLP prepared to take the country down that road? Can they be so reckless with the fortunes of the people they claim to represent?
