Great post Banker. Absolutely on the mark. Until there is a change in the mindset of the people (which means a complete rejection of corruption at all levels) crime will indeed continue. Unfortunately, I fear the country is going to have to suffer a lot more pain before people come to this realization.
Sounds entirely plausible and would be consistent with what you expect from the PLP. Wells takes the public for fools as does Christie with his silence. The only fools will be those who cast their vote for this lot in May 2017.
The Christie administration's failure on both job creation and the war on crime has been abject. Promises on both these areas were the main planks of their manifesto. Dr. Minnis is correct to highlight government's dismal performance in creating jobs but he needs to come up with some practical policies to get young people back to work. The first thing he needs to do is banish all thought of NHI during his first term in office. The Country simply cannot afford it at this time and it would ultimately cost more jobs. The PLP will not deliver NHI between now and the election but watch them try and "dangle the carrot" to their gullible supporters in the run up to the next election.
Stupid comment from a mindless apologist for a party that has zero credibility. Every right thinking Bahamian should be appalled at how BoB has robbed this Nation. Disgraceful.
It is absurd that we are even entertaining the notion of this man "leading" his Party at the next election. The PLP is a "busted flush" and has become unelectable. Roll on May 2017 when we can put an end to the "lunatics running the asylum".
