What's the odds the motor cyclist wasn't wearing a crash helmet? I don't understand why we are so backward on this. Crash helmets save lives - why does the government not amend or enforce the law?

Agree with nassaudaddy. Too little and much too late from Forbes.

Once again Davis treats Bahamians as if they are clueless and gullible. In reality, educated citizens of The Bahamas have considered the argument and concluded that the PM was wrong to interfere with due process of law. This was as clear a case of favoritism as you will see and Davis's defense of PGC is no more than you would expect. Bahamians would have been more impressed with the PM if he had come out and said: "On reflection, I allowed my feelings of compassion towards the plight of my friend to override my better judgment. I was wrong to have interfered with due legal process and apologise for this error"

Don't hold your breath waiting for said apology!

No doubt all within budget!!!

Mr Sears also confirmed that Mr Flowers has filed an appeal to overturn his 2011 conviction for breaches to the Lotteries and Gaming Act.

Excuse me but on what grounds would Mr. Flowers wish to appeal his conviction? Did he break the law or did he not? The fact that the law is about to change can have no bearing on his prior conviction which was as a result of him breaking the law as it stood at that time. But this is The Bahamas and anything is possible.

THE $1 million donation by Albany developers to the Urban Renewal Foundation had no impact on their joint venture bid to acquire South Ocean resort, according to Prime Minister Perry Christie.

Of course it didn't - what an outrageous suggestion!!!! The timing was purely coincidental.

PGC said "what can I do as prime minister to stop this man from being put out his house today?”

This is precisely the point - there is nothing he should have been be able to do in his capacity as prime minister. His role as PM is to serve the country - not individuals. Mr. Christie still doesn't get it and clearly neither does Alfred Gray. Hardly surprising, the order of the day within the PLP is stick up for the Party regardless of the rights or wrongs of a matter.

I still believe that the casinos will have to come up with some system that allows only respectable Bahamians onto their floors. Can you imagine what would happen in they made it a free for all? I would go for membership cards.

Seems to me Adrian that Jeff might have been pissed that he had been caught out (by not knowing the rules himself) and perhaps he took it out on you by refusing to let you speak in your defence. Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged by your faux pas - a good learning experience indeed.
