You can bet your last dollar that China hasn't paid a cent towards the attempt to re-open Baha Mar. We, the public, are footing the bill. It is also patently clear why the government wanted to take the resort into liquidation in The Bahamas. This gave the PLP the opportunity to ensure that family and friends were looked after, aided and abetted by a hand picked liquidator and a friendly judiciary. Had the case gone to Chapter 11 in the States then the process would have involved complete transparency, something the PLP would have been dreading. So the whole winding up process was brought back to The Bahamas for reasons of "sovereignty" which in PLP speak means "we get to plunder the assets in the dark". Why are some Bahamians even contemplating the notion that the PLP could be returned for another five year term? This is a party of criminals and the architects of this grand larceny of the Nation's wealth need to stand before a Commission of Enquiry. Later they will answer to their maker.

The sad thing is that the UN doesn't give a damn and neither does Christie, the AG and the rest of the big hitters in cabinet. They have made sure that their "nests have been well and truly feathered". Izmirlian and the Bahamian people have been totally shafted over Baha Mar and the price will be paid over generations. I hope those responsible are eventually held to account.

Unless The Bahamas moves to a system of proportional representation the DNA will not be able to translate its share of the vote into seats in the HOA. Voters know that a vote for the DNA in a few months' time is effectively a vote for the PLP. The voters were duped in 2012 into thinking a vote for the DNA would bring about change but all it did was open the door for the Devil's apprentices to take over government. I doubt the public will make the same mistake again.

Excellent letter from Whistleblower. Halkitis would not get a job as a bank supervisor in the real world.

There is a huge elephant in the room and no one seems to be addressing it. No matter how you dress it up, web shop money in the eyes of major international banks is illegitimate. BoB can happily absorb all this ill gotten money but the big banks won't touch it and so all Flowers et al are doing is moving their cash from one private vault to another.

Mudda / Reality: You don't half come up with some nonsense at times. This might be YOUR voting strategy but I believe most voters will look at their choice and choose the candidate that has the best chance of defeating the PLP candidate.
