So tell me Mr. Christie, what can the country expect if we re-elect you and your hapless cabinet for another five years? You have overseen FOUR downgrades of our sovereign credit rating since you hoodwinked a gullible majority of voters in 2012. Your party is clearly incapable of managing the country's affairs and yet you have the temerity to suggest that re-electing you and your misfits is the "safer option". Do you honestly think that the electorate will buy this nonsense next year? I don't care how disjointed the opposition is right now, the Bahamian people will NOT give the PLP another chance at governance. That really would be tantamount to the country committing national suicide. You are living in the last days of your calamitous regime. You and your party through criminality and sheer incompetence have brought this country to the stage where devaluation of our currency is a very real possibility. This is the legacy you will leave behind.

Economist, the PLP have never been in the business of running a country. Their goal has always been to gain access to the Nation's wealth, enrich themselves and their friends at the expense of hard working Bahamians, conceal their illegal activity and spend whatever they must in order to stay in power. Many Bahamians who should have known better were fooled at the last election by the PLP's fake promises. All those who voted for a PLP candidate back then need to take their share of the responsibility for the mess the country is in today. Can you imagine how much better off we would all have been had Hubert Ingraham been returned to office in 2012? It is truly heartbreaking to think of the possibilities we have thrown away. The country may never recover from this.

Don't worry, our Chinese friends will be only too happy to buy up the government's junk bonds at a hefty premium on the interest rate and, in so doing, gain complete control of The Bahamian economy. The PLP's ruinous mis-management and sheer criminality has taken us to this place. Worldly wise Bahamians understand what lies ahead but the uneducated masses don't have a clue. Keep them dumb and ignorant. This is the PLP mantra - right out of Robert Mugabe's political handbook.

They should be giving permanent residency away for FREE together with a complimentary psychological evaluation to any foreigner who wants to invest ANY amount in The Bahamas!

If this government had any honour and decency about them then the entire cabinet would resign and ask the electorate for forgiveness. But we are dealing with the PLP who have no shame.

Thanks to the PLP, the next administration is going to have a Herculean task of turning the country around. Bahamians had better be prepared for several years of pain to bring the Bahamas economy out of ICU. The next government is going to have no choice but to greatly reduce public spending and increase VAT. On top of that, NIB contributions are going to have to rise to plug some of the state pension under funding. What a mess! The PLP should NEVER be allowed to govern this country again.
