Hubert Minnis is like a "dog with a bone". The FNM is his "bone" and he ain't gonna let it go. Frankly the "bone" is so chewed up it is worthless so give him the frickin' bone and move on. It is time for all those who want a better Bahamas to join together to form a new United Coalition Party. There is still time. LBT and Bran can lead the way and hopefully others will follow.
Tal, if you want to talk of "grand treason" then you need look no further than your PLP paymasters. What the PLP has done to the country these last five years is absolutely treasonous.
As I understand it, the rebel seven have broken no laws and have acted within the rules of the FNM constitution. On what basis can they be disciplined or expelled?
If the sale has now been confirmed what possible reason is there to keep the details of the sale (and other concessions) under court seal? Oh stupid me, forgot about the looming election. The electorate won't get sight of the details until late next year (and possibly never, if the PLP are returned to government)
This is an astute move by LBT (and her hidden backers). This looks like the start of a united opposition coalition. This may force FNM dinosaurs to recognise that this partnership has more possibilities than anything Hubert Minnis has to offer. Surely it is time for the Doctor to step aside for the good of the country and allow LBT and Bran to work out an FNM / DNA deal?
On second thoughts Christie should stay to allow the electorate to humiliate him at the polls. He deserves to suffer a humiliating defeat as a punishment for his Party's complete destruction of our economy during these last years. Never have so few caused so much pain to so many.
I don't regard David Cameron in the UK as the best Prime Minister that country has ever had, not by a long margin but at least the guy had the decency to walk away from office after his BREXIT referendum defeat. It is called a matter of honour. Christie should have resigned his post after a second referendum defeat and Minnis should resign as Party Leader given his abject failure to unite the FNM over the last four and a half years. Why are these two so desperate to cling to power? In the name of God just go, both of you. The country has suffered enough.
