A bit rich coming from the DNA. Exactly what economic plans has Branville McCartney put forward? What does the DNA stand for apart from the restoration of capital punishment? Perhaps others can enlighten me.

Sepp Blatter at FIFA was head of one of the most corrupt and wealthy organisations in the world. He refused to step down because he knew that staying in power was the best way to conceal the corruption beneath and around him. The FBI are no doubt working hard to prepare a criminal case against him. Perry Christie is NOT delusional. He knows exactly what he is doing and believes he can get away with another five year term. He believes this because he knows HIS people. HIS people are largely uneducated and brain washed into thinking people like Christie are actually looking after THEIR interests. The PLP is a MAFIA type organisation and leaders of organised crime gangs NEVER retire. So now the question is whether the educated people of The Bahamas can organise themselves, stop this stupid in fighting, appoint the best possible leader and, by force of numbers, out vote the deluded, uneducated masses come May 2017.

On Galanis: PM bordered on delusional

Mr Christie said: “I think we are closer to a resolution than we’ve ever been before.

Well if there is in fact to be a resolution then that statement would obviously be true. It would be true whether the resolution is five months away or five years away! Typical Christie speak.

"In addition to Mr Davis, Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe, Education Minister Jerome Fitzgerald and Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell are names often mentioned as potential leaders of the party".

Is this why PGC is unwilling to stand down? (Aside from having absolutely nothing else to do with his time)

On Davis: PLP will not fall apart

Economist, why don't you write a book entitled "economics for dummies" and forward a free copy to PGC and Halkitis?

Honestman says...

You are such a deluded air-head Birdie Strachan. No-one will be rejoicing when we are downgraded again. People are in the depths of dispair over the mismanagement and dishonesty of this administration. All that VAT money squandered on higher and unnecessary government expenditure. A lost opportunity to get our fiscal house in order. We have a white elephant of a complex on Cable Beach deteriorating by the day and now effectively owned by a Chinese government that does't give a damn about The Bahamas. And you think any of us will be rejoicing if Moody's takes the inevitable action? Are you out of your tiny mind?

Honestman says...

Christie says "passing a law to address the issue has not been one of his administration’s highest priorities"

Well what a surprise!!!

Honestman says...

"PRIME Minister Perry Christie said yesterday that he seeks to continue leading the Progressive Liberal Party, including into the next general election, because young members of his government have urged him to do so."

So there it is...proof positive that he is hearing voices! Neither Perry Christie nor the PLP at large have anything to offer this country. They have abused the privilege of high office. It is time for them both to be consigned to history's dustbin. PGC suffers from delusions of adequacy! Time to go now before the people get even angrier.

On Christie vows to stay as PM

Sir Snake has a nerve, eh?

Telling the truth doesn't get you re-elected Economist!
