43 years of greed, corruption and wasted opportunity.

Christie will never resign but he needs to be retired in the National interest.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Mr Christie admitted that the entire referendum process may have been “hopelessly flawed” because of a compelling urgency by some to “pay back” the PLP.

Christie and his cohorts have only themselves to blame for their duplicity in the 2002 and 2013 referenda. An even bigger "pay back" awaits them in May 2017 if the main opposition party can get its act together.

I agree. This would be a patriotic act and could save the FNM from extinction.

You can't read anything into a Facebook Poll. Detailed analysis could well establish that many of the pollsters are PLP voters. There is no doubt whatsoever that the PLP are praying for Minnis to be confirmed as leader. They will see that as a certain ticket to line their pockets one last time before the lights go out on the Bahamas for good.

The FNM has completely lost its way. It is no longer representing the spirit of hard working Bahamians. It doesn't appear to be functioning on democratic principles any longer. It seems that Dr. Minnis is being propped up by a group of self-serving sycophants. Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if Dr. Minnis were to end up being re-elected as leader next month. The party is so dysfunctional, that this is a real possibility. If this nightmare scenario unfolds then all right thinking FNM card holders should bin their membership and defect to the DNA. This is the only alternative opposition platform available. Hubert Minnis and the FNM will then cease to be relevant as far as next year's general election is concerned.

I really don't want to be negative but it sure doesn't FEEL as if crime is down by 29% Also we are dealing here with reported crimes. What about all the other crimes that go unreported? If you ask most people about crime in The Bahamas today they will tell you that it has never been so bad. i don't take much comfort from these statistics.

On Nottage: Crime down by 29%

If Doc comes out of the convention as leader it will be as leader of a hugely diminished party. This is the "last chance saloon" for the FNM. If the delegates get this wrong then the FNM will be an irrelevance come May 2017.

On Minnis: I’ll win leadership fight
