The Bahamas is corrupt to the core. Politicians past and present have raped the country but the present administration has taken corruption to a whole new level. The landfill debacle is a prime example.

Sadly, as a country, we have not reached rock bottom yet. Until the people's pain becomes unbearable there will be no change to the status quo. I fear there is worse to come.

But the VAT office is so quick to levy fines for delayed returns! A bit more efficiency and a bit less arrogance from the department would be welcome.

Spot on pubilus. This is a huge project of vital importance for New Providence but nothing gets done because grubby politicians have not received the kick back they think they can get. Disgusting bunch.
