So the PLP campaigned and heavily criticized the FNM for the major roadworks that everyone is enjoying in Nassau, but has signed a $1.3 million roadwork project in Abaco?! All the Moody and Finance reports must be a farce for them to think this is fiscally responsble (being sarcastic). Hypocrisy coming out of my ears!! Then he predicts that it will actually be in the neighborhood of $9 million?!

Boy, don't EVER let me hear the PLP criticizing HAI and the FNM again for their roadworks project. Hmpf!

Moss got what should have came a long time ago. It's unfortunate that a call for his resignation then ultimate firing only came when the PM was 'disrespected' by Moss.

Dr. Minnis mad a call for accountability for victimization of those in governmental positions, by asking those who had been victimized to go to their attorney and file a civil suit.

It is action such as this that make people accountable and I applaud Mr. Cargill for being the first to publicly do so. I believe that Mr. Cargill has done a fine job at NIB and pray that he will be redeemed, however I do believe in the system and will await the results of the audit as everyone else.

I do believe that we are dawning on a new era of Bahamians that are trying to build the Bahamas and stand up for what is right. I do believe that we are coming on a time of standing up against incompetence and resistance from those trying to keep their jobs although they are ill qualified.

Let's keep pushing Bahamas. Please let us continue to demand better for our country.

I agree with the above comments. I am personally happy that it was not turned back to government's control. The Bahamian government is making more money with 49% of shares than it ever did as 100% control. It's high time we pay people to do what their skills are in as opposed to giving someone a job who knows nothing about what is required of them.

Now if only this could happen with NIB....

And the truth will set you free. Let's see if Mr. Christie reinstates Mr. Cargill when he is vindicated. Or will Christie shuffle because he is incapable of making a decision and let Moss continue to do shenanigans. PLP boy ya'll used to be good for a laugh, but now all I can manage is a shaking of the head. Most of you are at retirement's door and still haven't felt the need to conduct oneself in a moral stance, judgment coming! What a low down dirty "Shame" lol

You are right Mr. Knowles, if any payments to outside sources are listed they should never refer to the client's name. All efforts should be to maintain anonymity. Leaked documents are another issue, but any direct comments from government should refer to a company anonymously.

I pray you and your family are kept safe until this storm is over.

I am not a Branville McCartney fan, but Bran was right Christian Council! Suck it up! He's right that you all do not vehemently speak out or rally for other social ills in the society. This is the biggest twisted defense I've ever seen, nice play on the double meaning and use of some words.

Let's see how visible you are after the gambling debate is over. I pray you live up to this defense of your service to society.

Not taking sides, but the salary that Mr. Cargill was being paid is appropriate for the level of responsibility and qualification required to perform his job. To be frank, he would make even more money if he wasn't working with government. I do not approve of the line "he makes more money than any other govermental official" His job is not a public service job! While his job is "connected" with governmental services the expertise required is just like any other top private corporation.

The type of person who should be running something like NIB should be paid what Mr. Cargill was being paid. You couldn't convince someone who was as qualified to be the director of NIB to work for the parliamentarian salary.

You pay for what you receive! Mr. Cargill turned around NIB when he started there and has made businesses accountable for NIB insurance for their employees.

It seems as though the current adminstration is upset they don't make Mr. Cargill's level of salary. This is a ploy to gain public support.
