The Bahamas will be forced to give status to the stateless people who reside there or the problem will never be solved. The PLP could have done this decades ago but they lacked the will power to tackle unpopular subjects. The numbers were so much smaller then, The laws need to be amended. Until then there will be a problem. And I for one have every intention of never getting another building permit or pay another tax dollar if I can help it. Until the government creates a level playing field, I will be trying to evade every tax possible.

the FNM will most definitely NOT be legalizing before the next election. They will dangle this in front of the voters and promise swift action after the election. Once the election is over, this issue and many others will simply be pushed to the back burner and allowed to simmer indefinitely. Dr Minnis is a small minded and vindictive coward who is afraid to make sensible decisions. Instead he favors closing beaches for no good reason. #sad

Now is the time to plant your okra and sweet potatoes. Perhaps the Ministry of Agriculture can assist in the creation of community gardens. Make crown land available immediately for anyone who wants to farm. People are going to be hungry. The government may have to open soup kitchens.
