If Brent were just interested in making money, he wouldn't be wasting his time with a government position. He is an MP because he cares about the country and we should be grateful that he has the dedication and resources to bring The Bahamas to a higher standard of living. Instead too many of us are cutting off our nose to spite our face. #sad
Equal rights for women. Freedom of information act. Full transparency in government. Spend tax dollars in the district they were produced in. No new cruise ports. Better environmental laws with enforcement. invest in schools and change the curriculum to reflect todays needs. Stop taking conch for 5 - 10 years. legalize marijuana. Go solar. Privatize all governemnt corporations. Unite entire government on one online data base web site. Lower cost of living. Educate the population on proper eating habits. Listen to the Christian Council less. There's more, but I don't see any of that happening, so I'll stop there.
The current and former PM's and their useless gangs are obviously ok with this or they would have taken corrective measures by now. The even more useless Christian Council doesn't seem to have time for the ''poor and downtrodden'', instead they spend their time opposing law abiding LGBT folks and smokers of the devils weed. Don't hold your breath on the police investigating themselves any time soon
Marijuana reform needs to come very very soon if you hope to generate any form of tourism around it. Pretty soon it will be legal everywhere and tourism will not apply. In that case perhaps a few barons will make money exporting "Bahamian Bud". And if ThisisOurs thinks smoking weed makes you dumb, you better do a little more research; you'd be surprised to know who smokes the stuff and what type of career they have. Overall the Bahamian government is living with very outdated ideas, marijuana policy is just one of them.
What a dork, says it like it's a high percentage. Shouldn't it be at least 50% for fair representation? I would be willing to bet he has no intention of following through with this anyway
I had a business in Abaco in the 90's. High turnover of revenue, low profit margin, was taxed on the gross. "grossly unfair" - The FNM government could have done something about it then; 20 years later and still nothing. Papa wasn't great, I wish y'all would stop saying he was. Minnis still has 3 years to prove himself, so far I am not very impressed but that might change. One can only hope.
