As long as wimps are responsible for setting policy in this country, there will always policies put in place that will retard progress and put the country in precarious situations. It is well established that most Covid infections occur in settings like a hotel lobby, or an office or a public building. It is also clearly documented that the most effective means of avoiding transmission in these environments is firstly wearing masks, and then limiting the number of persons in the area and then persons keeping their distance from each other. So how can the minister, against all common sense give hotels permission to allow guests to go mask less in hotel lobbies and other public spaces? Except that the minister is a wimp giving into pressure. And, at the end of the day it is Bahamians who will suffer. Evidence shows that there are fake Covid test results in circulation and persons who have these in their possession may not be Covid-free. As for guests to this country not wearing masks outdoors, just ride down Bay Street or Paradise Island or Cable Beach and see the numbers of tourists NOT wearing masks. So who is driving the bus?

If you want to know how effective the vaccines are? Then why are less vaccinated countries recovering from the pandemic just as fast, and, even in some cases faster than highly vaccinated countries? How was the war breaking out not only able to knock the Covid pandemic off the front page and almost completely out of the news but also bring vaccines campaigns to a standstill? Virologist announced since October last year that NONE of the vaccines currently available were effective against the Omicron strains of Covid-19. So what were they vaccinating against. Finally as Covid-19 appears to be disappearing one thing will be left behind probably for years after. It’s called lLong Covid. Patients suffering from it continue to have symptoms like loss of appetite, loss of taste and smell, loss of weight, hair falling out, inability to sleep loss of some mobility and other symptoms. And there are individuals and companies already on the market offering relief and cures for this condition. And most of these individuals and companies are scam artists that will take your money with no effective remedy. Long Covid has been described as ‘inflammation of the blood vessels, some say ‘poisoning of the blood.’ The prediction of how many persons will die from this disease is out there. But persons working on treating the disease claims aids medications are among the most effective treatments. When the truth eventually comes out and the world gets to understand what Covid-19 really was, then the connection to AIDS will also be understood.

Despite laws being passed to criminalize gang leadership, gang membership and gang activity, pover a decade ago, practically no one has been brought before the courts on any of these charges. But the majority of young men being gunned down and murdered are gang members. How do you know? Even most of the photos the press use to identify these victims show them throwing up gang signs. And so here’s the problem. Even though these guys may have joined gangs years ago, probably when they were still in high school or even junior high school, they are not now active gang members. So when the ward break out between gangs, they are not expecting it to affect them. So they do nothing to protect themselves and many are caught off guard not being able to protect themselves. And their families and friends may be right when they say, ‘he was innocent, he never troubled anyone, he stay to himself, go to work and come home. Help take care of his family.’ But the fact is a decision they made to join a gang years ago has now cost them their life. And tge talk on the streets is ‘the only way to get outta a gang is by death.’ So it’s being played out every day. And until advisors and counselors are actively educating young men about the dangers of joint gangs, communities will continue to hear gun shots ringing out, families will continue to wail and grieve over dead family members and police will have to continue scooping up bullet riddled bodies.

If any of the last five administrations were to be judged and their success with crime, murder especially, they would all receive failing grades. All, all ALL! This country is going into at least four generations of young men killing up each other and no end appears to be in sight. But at least three things are clear: 1. Too many young men are leaving institutions of learning and entering society without the skills to function and cope. There definitely needs to be some national

i am convinced that you have mental challenges. So why did the woman enter into a marriage if she doesn't intend to fulfil the covenants of that contract? And, secondly why continue to hold on to a marriage if you do not intend to submit to your partner/ Why not anul the marriage and have it set aside rather than to continue to dish out cruel and unusual punishment to your partner, who, apparently are estranged with? Why seek to make a criminal out of and probably send someone to jail who entered into a contract with you in good faith and is only asking you to fulfil your covenants, Did you go cold and frigid on your spouse?

Some people love to play the role of ‘victim.’ They love the attention it garners. ‘Look at poor lil ole helpless me.’ And that is why people can’t understand why a person would remain in a toxic or abusive relationship. Even when a person is on drug alcohol or other substance abuse, one of the key steps on the road to recovery is having the ability to walk away and the strength to not look back. An abusive person needs victims. Don’t volunteer yourself to be one.

If there is foul play, then there will also be evidence to support foul play. If it was suicide then the police will look for certain evidence to support it. For example was the victim still involved with someone she had before the courts for domestic violence? You cannot rule out the potential of a person engaged in domestic violence to do anything. And also cannot rule out the possibility of anyone taking their own life. The mental conditions of all humans is not constant but changes and varies. A full and proper investigation will determine the truth. And most likely the motel had video cameras.

Suicide and the thoughts of it does not necessarily have to be linked to any one situation a person is going through but, being suicidal or at least having suicidal thoughts can itself be a condition. And once a person gets over a certain crisis or hurdle, some other event or challenge will arise causing the person to stay in a state of depression. The sad and tragic thing is this young lady’s situation was exposed and became public. But still not enough was done to prevent her losing her life.
