Didn’t you get the psyche? MOST People will get cold or flu like symptoms during this time of the year. Especially in places like The Bahamas, where there is very warm or hot daylight temperatures and cold or cold nights. So they rush off to get a test, if they can afford it, or to take a vaccine. Remember the common flu is also part of the Covid/Corona families of viruses and some people will get false positive tests. In fact sources are saying the rapid tests and the home self tests kits that are being widely distributed throughout Europe and the UK cannot detect the Omnicron strain. So they will give positive readings for the common cold or flu. So they authorities are now having symptoms ( mild cold or flu symptoms) and your test ( rapid or home test) comes back negative, go and take the more reliable and more expensive test. So the person doesn’t have money for this test, especially if there are several family members. So what do they do? They go and get vaccinated! And that is the plan.

did covid cases already peak in the Bahamas at 330 during the fourth wave?

There is/were many unsolved murders over the past few years even a member of the military being executed at government house. And the Bahamians who were massacred in broad daylight and in the heat of the noon day. So here’s wishing you all luck if this murder is solved successfully. Not to say the men and the women of the police force are not capable, but it is apparently big bucks and a strong element of undesirables may be involved and make go to unlimited extremes to ensure the killers remain UN revealed or is killed before trial

today vaccinated centers around the country, at least New Providence, were bursting at the seams as persons, obviously in panic or fear or both, rushed to get vaccinated. firstly what is the difference between testing positive for Covid and developing symptoms or actually becoming I’ll or even seriously ill. YES the numbers of persons testing positive for Covid has Skyrocketed, not only here but worldwide. Some seventy cruis ships had outbreaks but but persons getting I’ll or developing serious symptoms were minimal. Deaths worldwide from omicron are negligible but guess what? The omicron variant peaked in South Africa a week to 10 days ago. Persons testing positive in that country declined from 35,000 a day to just over 3,000 a day. And the same thing will mostly possibly likely happen here by mid January. The only question is What com after Omicron? Is this the end or what?

Yes it was Regatta weekend and it pretty much brought an end to the smaller, independent mailboats setting off, loaded with passengers for Family Island Regattas. The larger fast ferries took over. They are supposedly more regulated, more managed and more insured.

‘ M/V Sea Hauler, served Cat Island, as a mail boat, collided with M/V United Star in Aug. 2003, 4 killed, 25 injured’

least we forget: ‘ At around 1 AM local time, Captain Miller of the United Star left the wheel to use the bathroom. The Sea Hauler was on collision course with the United Star but was unaware of the other vessel due, Captain Russell, said, to their being no lights showing aboard the United Star.

Although both skippers took last-minute evasive action, it was too late, and the United Star’s port, or left bow, smashed into the port quarter, or stern, of the Sea Hauler. The consequences were tragic: four persons were crushed to death when the crane toppled on them, another man lost his leg below the knee, and 25 persons were injured.

In the aftermath both vessels tied up alongside each other, several of the worst wounded were evacuated by US Coast Guard helicopters and Royal Bahamas Defense Force craft several hours after the accident. Some passengers may have continued on to Cat Island on other vessels. The situation was at times chaotic, though sea conditions were said to be calm and clear.’

Cruise ships are being turned away from ports in Mexico and the Caribbean due to Covid outbreaks on the ships. Several ships had to return to Florida after there were outbreaks shortly after the ships set sail. All adult passengers and crew on cruise ships are required to be vaccinated. China recorded its largest daily number of cases since the pandemic began and has started locking down entire cities until all tests are negative. Can schools here be realistically open for face to face in January? Many schools and colleges in the us are going back to virtual learning due to Covid outbreaks. Schools in the US are also short of some 250,000 workers as many teachers and support staff has left the profession due to Covid. And some are refusing to return until the pandemic is over.

Most people who are getting tested for omicron are wasting their time! Either they will get it AFTER being tested or they will have gotten rid of it shortly after being tested. And the media is still misleading about vaccinations. Omicron is no respector of vaccines. Wear ya masks, keep ya distance, avoid crowds, get sunlight, wash ya hands and pray unceasingly
