First one must congratulate Brave Davis and the PalP. For it was no easy or ordinary feat they accomplished by winning with such a landslide victory. Davis resisted the temptation to match Minnis and the FNM with gutter politics and obviously it put the PLP in favor with the Bahamian people. Brave must understand his honeymoon with the Bahamian people will be short because many are still in need of basic essentials like bread and water. Everyone will admit it took a miracle to sway the Bahamian people in a wave and into a brand new day and it will take even more miracles and prayers to deliver the country from its current conditions. No Ine can envy Brave and his new government as their task is not easy.

ANYONE who said they saw this coming is not a friend to the truth. Bahamians felt something needed to be fixed but they were not ready to return the country back to the PLP. But Minnis continued to make missteps and ignored the writing on the wall. Dragging people out their homes to campaign and then to vote whilst friends and family members were dying was totally disrespectful and the height of hypocrisy as the competent authority. Especially after Minnis had the country locked down under less severe conditions. Minnis came in prosecuting former MPs for corruption and dishonesty. But he endorsed his candidate for Long Island who appeared steeped in nepotism and corruption. The people of Long Island embraced him but the rest of the country rejected him. Minnis apparently abandoned protocols for the corona pandemic exclusively for vaccines. And Bahamians paid a big price with more persons becoming ill and more Bahamians dying. Minnis decided to play musical chairs by calling a snap election and taunting Bahamians as to when It Wil be. Bahamians wasn’t into that game and they made sure Minnis got that message. Minnis built his campaign around attacking Minnis rather than showcasing his government’s performance and future plans. Many Bahamians were offended by some of the dirty and nasty ads the FNM ran. Six Bahamians got executed in broad daylight in the capital. Marvin Dames and Paul Rolle again tried to play with the psyche of Bahamians saying they had suspects and the public would soon know who did it,today they still don’t know. Neither do they know who killed the marine at government house, But they still don’t know, Neither do they know bwhere is the missing man from Minnis own constituency. They don’t know beguiling there was a need to raid Bahamians in the middle of the night with Blackhawk helicopters or bring out heavy artillery for Bahamians during a very peaceful, labor related protest. Where is the money from the travel visas? Did it row away in some Kanoo? Whilst the average Bahamian struggled to put food on their table. Then there were the coconut boys who got locked up and received hefty fines . There was the person charged for going to the pump for water and the weeks and months when Bahamians were prohibited from going to the beach. Then there were incidents when Bahamians were cited and fined for being on the beach just minutes after the beach closed. Bahamians were highly offended by how some of the food distribution programs were executed or t with the expenses they had to incur to travel inter-island. Minnis failed to win tge trust of the Bahamian people again. Many believe their future now begins with a (brand) new day!

But the voting process seems to be peaceful and orderly. And moving more smoothly than the early polls. Since the voter’s register is now permanent, hopefully by next election there will be smart voter’s cards that are machine readable that will record when you vote and other relevant information.

Why do I always get people standing next to me who doesn’t want to keep the bare minimum of three feet? If you don’t know what tree feet is, the average Bahamian has a size ten foot. So if you put one foot of the other one three times. That is roughly the minimum you should come close to a person. But for safety it should be six feet or twice that distance. And if you can stretch your hand out and touch the person, you and them are definitely too close.

Even the most diehard FNMs are not in agreement or support of what happened yesterday. In fact many do not appreciate how Minnis has been conducting himself vdince Elections we’re called and even before then. He’s he ) Minnis ) forgotten that he is still the competent authority and that the country is still in pandemic? How mao people will choose not to vote rather than dying to vote. Reality must be hitting Minnis real hard that here is a strong possibility that he and the FNM may lose this election. And it was all his making. Marvin Dames done meltdown too.. the possibility of jail looms over some if not many Let us pray and continue to bury the dead. At least they deserve that amount of dignity.

The great big lie was telling Bahamians they responsible and have blood on their hands if they are not vaccinated and friends, family and loved ones die. But it is tge vaccinated who are super spreaders. Why didn’t he tell you the same persons who were giving AIDS patients AZT treatment and causing them to die is also involved in the development of these vaccines? Minnis and Duane Sands are doctors. They must know this.

MINNIS may lose this Election and yes, it will be because of his own undoing. Many still believe Minnis and the FNM should be left in office to continue in this financial crisis and global pandemic. To change governments at this time will cost the Bahamian people. Many will lose jobs and many projects currently in progress be stopped, reviewed and cancelled. And if the PLP win, will they seek vengeance? Will they be able to find financing to carry the country as it continues to battle this pandemic and climb out of this financial crisis? But it was Minnis behavior over the last few months that turned many people off from him. After months of safety measures that worked , he abandoned them in favor of vaccines. Basically demanding people take them. Threatening to deny rights to people who didn’t want to vaccinate snd offering perks and privileges to persons, including non Bahamians who were vaccinated. D changing the guard in this situation is as bad as Minnis calling elections in the height of the pandemic. May be best to give Minnis a stronger opposition. But vote your conscience, STILL!
