Can someone please explain how China is the only developed country that has managed to bring and keep its new corona cases and deaths close to zero for over a year. And don't bring the "communist country hogwash"., because both Russia and Cuba are fiercely battling the disease and with same results like most of the world. What part of the science is the rest of the world missing? Of course. the global push for mass vaccinations is part of the problem and in countries, like The Bahamas, the problem is with our borders. It has been proven that once the borders are closed, the country can maintain and control its new cases and ill patients. BUT, there may be hope and great news on the horizon. Will wait.at least until Monday to make that post!

URCA is alive and living? Well by damn. Hey dudes it’s not called‘silly season’ for no reason. Let slip the dogs of war! So who is Freddy Mitchell’s kissing cousin in URCA? Ole Freddy forgot the days when on Halloween day (or night) he burnt effigies of the PM and the sitting members of the parliament? And it was only CRIME that put an to his sensual (9k political) escapades . Persons on Fort Charlotte started setting live humans on fire and attacking others with fireworks. The beginnings of the 4 decades of crime, including murder that the country now face. So what is the PLP’s platform on crime, especially murder? Keith Bell was the second biggest failure next to ‘meltdown’ Marvin Dames!

It’s like saying 99% of the people who get corona in The Bahamas is Black. It may be right but not correct. Firstly because of the demographics. Secondly because when white folk get sick, most have a means of getting treatment AND keeping their illness out of the public and unrecorded

That was in the short term. Didn’t the UK report today that 44% of its new cases are among the vaccinated. There’s also claims that the Johnson and Johnson vaccines lose their efficacy rate faster than the others and a possibility that all vaccinated persons may have to take booster shots as early as October and more likely by December., then 6-8 months after that ( if the virus is still around by then). And that’s Fauci’s 99% figure. Remember the percentage of non vaccinated people is three or more times that of vaccinated. Do some math.

Miller is lucky they went to the car when he wasn't there because his personality is one that doesn't allow him to give up without a fight. And these new generation of criminals, pulling the trigger of a gun comes as naturally as flushing a toilet. It gets the job done. Completed. And apparently, Marvin Dames and the FNM government has bought into the idea that crime is on a decrease and the decrease was not related to the fact that the country was in curfew and locked down most of last year. They, apparently have no plan to deal with the post-pandemic, country re-opening crime surge. And it will be violent and against persons and property. Unbelievable is the number of motorists who had their vehicles broken into or parts stolen off the vehicle, even in broad daylight and in busy parking lots. Bumpers, lights, mirrors batteries, whatever

Waiting on them to say, "if you ain't vaccinated, ya cannot vote."
But on the real , I would have expected them to move the curfew back to to 8;00 or at least 9:00 pm and/or declare a one day lockdown in New Providence and Grand Bahama for at last one day for the next two weeks. Say all business must cease at 5:00 pm on Wednesdays and everyone home or shelter in place by 6:00 pm, Where is the science to support this, some will ask. The science is that you have to remind humans that these are not normal times and things are not normal. Give them time to be home and reflect as to what is going on and how bad things were and how bad things can become if they become careless, nonchalant and refuse to adhere to the rules. And rest assured, this vaccine drive is definitely worsening the situation. And as the number of breakthrough increase there will have to be some rethinking of the vaccine.

Sounds like the horror stories that came out of Cuba when Bahamians were detained there.

This is what is called ‘manipulation of data’ or attempting to sway public opinion. First off, everyone knows both Minnis and Brave Davis are unpopular leaders. But while Brave Davis may be unpopular outside the PLP camp, Minnis is unliked even in his own camp. Now that being said, the question must be asked why did they poll about the popularity or like ability of the two leaders? The real question should be ‘ ‘ how will you be voting this election? plp, fnm, dna ir other… so one must guess they didn’t like the results of that poll… go get your vaccines and party till election!
