And if it is political, it can be one of the most reckless decisions the Minnis Administration made during the pandemic. And yes, he did say vaccinated persons can go party amongst themselves. But to end emergency orders when hotels are overwhelmed and people lay dying??? thirdly, why have so many world leaders seem to want to abandon all other care and safety precautions in favor of vaccines? It was the masks and the sanitizer and social distancing and crowd restrictions etc that took the world through three waves of Covid-19. So why does health officials and politicians looking at vaccines as a ‘fix all-cure all’ solution, rather than as another tool in the arsenal to battle Covid-19? And the numbers of ‘breakthrough’ cases is definitely increasing and the patients will have, more than likely, exposed themselves to others, vaccinated and vaccinated, because they have been assured that once vaccinated, they become ‘crypto night.’ BUT maybe with all the reopening and abandoning of precautions and increasing cases, the world population will achieve natural herd immunity against the Covid-19 virus. And, of course, the price will be more hospitalizations and more deaths in the interim.

It also sought ways to make viruses stronger and more easily transmissible. And Fauci was questioned about the Delta virus being a direct result of these experiments. Fauci’s response ‘You don’t know what you’re talking about, senator.’ Fauci had some premonition of a virus escaping and infecting the world’s population since 2012. And there is concern again that the ‘single shot’ Johnson and Johnson vaccine may not be effective as expected. But the makers of the vaccine says the efficacy rate remains high, even against the Delta strain. And there is concern for vaccinated people who may contract the corona virus and show no symptoms. Some Drs say there may be long term internal organ damage ( from the virus, not the vaccine.

And how responsible is it for the PM to be playing election musical chairs in the middle of a pandemic? Causing people to crowd registration stations whilst the virus rages.

One must remember that it is usually a only a small percentage of voters that determine the election, despite large voter turnout. And remember, too it was disillusioned PLPS that gave Minnis the landslide victory last election. And most of these disillusioned voters have returned to the To the PLP fold.

At one point the statement ‘Presently the vaccines are for Bahamians and legal residents only,’. But there is a sizable population of illegal residents or undocumented individuals here. And many come from countries of high corona cases. And many move freely among the general population. To try to vaccinate them will bring an outcry from persons waiting to be vaccinated amongst a shortage of vaccines. To attempt to round them up and attempt to deport them will create even more challenging problems. What then?

This country recorded its third highest (100, yes one hundred) new cases on Saturday. Should there even be a discussion of ending the emergency orders at this juncture? The US is going back to full masks and some states are now requiring quarantine, negative tests or full vaccination to enter. Are these sudden deaths related to the Covid-19? At least three since Friday.

Y’all arguments are baseless since there are more unvaccinated people than there are vaccinated. Secondly there were over 60,000 ‘breakthrough’ (vaccinated people who get the virus) in the US alone. But the CDC has stopped recording all breakthrough cases and only recording where the patient gets seriously ill and has to be hospitalized.
