The vaccinations can be directly responsible for this new wave of Covid-19. Simply because of relaxation of the restrictions on vaccinated persons, including allowing them to not wear masks and not being tested. And so they were walking, corona positive with no symptoms and no masks, infecting unvaccinated people. And now they are saying the N95 mask iot similar is the only protection from the Delta strain.

two points: By law elections are not due until MAY 2022! And so if Minnis chooses to play this game of ‘the sky is falling,’ eventually it will backfire on him. The opposition must be careful not to burn themselves out financially and otherwise and the electorate may grow wary and decide not to vote. Again this can be to Minnis advantage or disadvantage.

secondly, minnis says the emergency Orders will NOT be renewed when they expire in August. Considering The Bahamas and the world is In what is obviously a fourth wave of Covid -19 does it mean that Minnis will fling the country wide open in the middle this pandemic? This is what the UK did but the US is now requiring everyone to wear masks and sanitize. CASES worldwide have surged by 70 percent!

The US is going back to requiring everyone to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. This comes as nee infections, hospitalizations and deaths increase.

John says...

ARE the competent authorities in this country too politically driven to put in some restrictions in light of rapidly increasing cases in light of the fact that they currently have no vaccines?

John says...

The usa, brazil and The UK are ALL having more new Covid cases than INDIA,! And whilst the US and UK are highly vaccinated, Brazil has a low vaccinated rate. This virus does not respect persons or vaccines.

Bahamas is now experiencing its second highest (and increasing) numbers of new cases and third highest )and increasing) numbers of deaths since the pandemic began.

Many believe the problems in Haiti are far from over. Even after a new president is chosen there will still be unrest and uprisings. Maybe the reason behind Biden’s refusal to send US Troops to help maintain law and other.the last time the US military was sent to Haiti, the ended staying 20 years. This will not be a good thing for a president who is trying to withdraw troops from other parts of the world.

Chance to wonder if the conch poisoning earlier this year was not conch poisoning but Covid. Someone working at the stalls may have been infected and passed it on to others. Sunlight and salt water are great defenses against corona and ginger root tea. One bank was having to close a particular branch every few weeks because some staff would test positive for Covid-19. This is despite putting in plexiglass barriers between the tellers and the customer. Then the bank had to reconfigure it’s air conditioning system. Separate the unit serving the customer area from the offices.

D’Aguilar says the hotels were ‘90 percent full’ during the US Independence weekend. And whilst the hotels seem to be doing a good job monitoring their guests, airlines must also be accountable. An infected person on a three hour flight has the potential of infecting many others. Then there’s also other issue of cruise ships, especially those that are home porting here. So passengers have to be flown in. Getting infected from someone on the flight can cause major problems for the cruise.
