So what conclusion can be drawn from these high profile crimes when apparently no one will be successful charged with them much less be punished? With all his bells and whistles and all the millions of the people’s money spent on crime fighting technology is tge Royal Bahamas Police Force and the full military regime in this country merely a dud? More bark and no bite? Is the ineffectiveness of the police and their ability to police and carry out proper and conclusive investigations and bring criminals to Justice the reason why the country is so rampant with crime. Who dropped the ball? Wasn’t the Defense Force also supposed to carry out an investigation into the murder of one of its senior officers? At least two forces of investigation and no one jailed? How many innocent Bahamians are in jail because of obviously sloppy and careless police work? How many other murders are unsolved because of the police’s inability to carry out effective investigations and collect conclusive and irrefutable evidence? Is the police force merely muscle men and gun toting officers who can go on the streets and bully the public and shoot and even kill when they see it necessary but otherwise the police force has no brains? No intellectual capacity? Face it: the security of one of the supposedly ‘most secure ‘ properties in The Bahamas was breeches, a senior marine killed and nobody, nobody knows behind did it? A line gunman was able to bypass armed guards and successfully eliminate his apparent, intended target? What if it was the Governor General who was being targeted ? Shouldn’t heads Rolle in both these instances? Who killed Sir Harry Oakes?
How Toad Licking Gets You High (And Then Kills You): Toad licking has long been recognized as a stupid, risky way to try to get high. But do you know the biochemistry that determines how stupid and risky it actually, and how high you could get. Let's squeeze some toads. The first problem with toad licking is that it isn't just any toad that will get you high. The most famous culprit — one that has sent a lot of dogs on bad trips — is the cane toad. It and its general family, the family bufonidae, will secrete the stuff that can be sniffed, injected, or ingested to get people hallucinating.
The stuff itself is called 5-methoxy-N, N-dimethyltryptamine. The chemical gets into the body and acts as a serotonin agonist, binding to serotonin receptors.
> Blockquote > #As it stands, the killer who breached security to murder one officer and > attempt to murder two more is no > closer to being behind bars than two > years ago. And as it stands, the Bahamian public is no closer to knowing ( or confirming because some say they already know) who carried out the high noon, broad daylight massacre of SIX Bahamians, wounding of two others. And that what happens when you have. Security and armed forces system that is not accounting and not accountable. And in either or both instances the general consensus is that ALL the killings, both at government house and on Kemp Road were done by trained military personnel. We’re black hawk helicopters flying during the time of these incidents. Are there foreign forces operating on Bahamians soil and not having to give account of their actions? Think about it. What about the ballistics experts. Did the bullets match the weapons in the case of the government house killing? No DNA collected no nothing? In the case of the murdered marine, the only suspect was found unanimously not guilty. And apparently there are no other suspects. In the case of The mid day massacre, no suspects have been named or charged. Houston we have a problem.
Government must not allow these vendors to be displaced by greedy hotel and property owners. They come here and rake in Billions and don't even want Bahamians to get crumbs of the table. Follow the laws of the country (all beaches are public) or pack up your hotels and go find another Bahamas. And as more family islands are developing, government must now put a task force in place to ensure that there is always free and unrestricted access to all beaches in The Bahamas. In fact ensure that there is public parking and other amenities for all beach users on popular beaches. The formers of the constitution had the vision and foresight to make all beaches public. Don't let greedy investors who can't stand the best Bahamian, steal these rights.
The stamps are a good thing that helps many get through scrapes and hard times. And with soaring prices and now even the potential of approaching storms, many will rely on stamps to tide them through. The drought soaring temperatures in American Northwest (several states are having triple digit temperatures have now cost a run on air conditioners as persons and families seek a means of escaping the punishing heat. As one person put it. "It's not a matter of how much an air condition unit costs, its a matter of finding one to buy,' She said she and her family drove for miles and could not find an A/C unit, One thing Roberts may consider is putting permanent stamp drop boxes in his stores. In Cable Beach for example, many of the tourists don't know what the stamps are about. So if they drop the stamps in the box, they can be donated to charity. .Or he may even consider allowing different charities to set up boxes in each store and be responsible for collecting the contents on a regular basis,
Despite the millions Marvin Dames spent on his crime-fighting toys, murder is becoming more commonplace and killers becoming more brazen. Especially after the Kemp Road Massacre that Marvin and the police hope Bahamians hurry up and forget about. But they still investigating.
Has Minnis ever directly addressed the crime crisis in this country and his plans to deal with it? More people are currently dying from crime and murder than from Covid-19, but at least one government official is in the media every day talking about corona and pressing the public to take the vaccine.
