The biggest part of crime in this country is discrimination and economic disenfranchisement aand emasculitation of the Black Bahamian. It is not a crime problem. It is a social and economic problem. CRIME is a symptom and that is why it is not going away but getting worse. Minnis needs to get the right people on the ground and get young men employed and get their fundamental rights back and allow them to become full fledged citizens again and stop following the US with its crippled, racist policies. Marvin Dames is about declaring war on Bahamians and having police kill off the young black men. Bahamians. Look and see how he is turning the ministry of national security building into a fortress, preparing for war. If you allow Dames a second term as minister of national security, hundreds more Bahamians will die. Many at the hands of police. Stay Woke!
The CDC has gone back to requiring fully vaccinated people to wear mask in public and enclosed spaces. It hinted at ‘not recommending’ indoor dining and other indoor activities that require close person to person contact. This is in light of the apparent threat from the Delta strain of the Corona virus that appears to be extremely contagious. Minnis must now go back and warn Bahamians (and residents) that even though indoor dining and other social activities are allowed among vaccinated persons, their health and safety is not guaranteed. In fact they may be taking unnecessary risks and exposing themselves to the opportunity to contract the corona virus.
Police are still operating like a fire engine going around ‘putting out fires,’ when there seems to be a full fledged war going on in several parts of the inner city and in some of the fringe neighborhoods. But what else can the police do except collect bodies then come to the press. Notice how the narrative have change from the victims being ‘known to police’ or having, ‘having a long criminal history,’ or ‘recently released from prison,’ to ‘we don’t want to violate the person’s rights?’ A number of recent shooting victims were female, with no criminal history and not associated with any criminal. Some were also children. And some were young men who may have ran on the streets in their youth, but had recently put a man head on their body, got a job, started a family and became productive citizens. So is it a matter of their past catching up with them? Not always. Some say there is a new culture on the streets. ‘If they want you and can’t find you, they will start gunning down anyone related to you or anyone associated you.’ And ‘even after they get you, that doesn’t always be enough to satisfy them, so they still coming after your family or ur boys.’ Chilling words. It now takes more than one life to repay for a wrong doing. How can the police now intervene and stop the bloodshed? And it’s not just here on Nassau, but some cities around the world, the US especially have seen their violent crime and murder rate increase by 2.000 percent. The streets are hungry for blood!
A number of countries that have had mass vaccinations have gone back into two and three and four week lockdowns. Why? Simply because the effectiveness (efficacy) of the vaccines have been overrated. Secondly in an attempt to drive vaccinations, governments and health authorities around the world have been allowing/encouraging vaccinated persons to scrap health protocols. Like wearing masks, not social distancing with other people who are vaccinated including indoor dining and other activities. Despite saying that vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks, at least outside, Joe Biden and his team has gone back to a full mask routine, despite all being fully vaccinated. This was a big contention between Biden and Donald Trump months ago when Trump refused to promote the wearing of masks or , as President, order that masks be worn in public. The window between when Biden ordered masks be worn in all government buildings and the time when the first Americans became fully vaccinated clearly demonstrate that masks are effective as America’s cases of Covid-19 and related deaths sharply decline. And for the first time since the pandemic began. And yes, people have questions and concerns both about the virus and the vaccines. For one Dr. Anthony Fauci has been determined to be incredible about his knowledge of the virus and where it originated. Tests in several thousand animals disproved story about the virus jumping from bats to humans. And thousands of emails and other documents tend to support the idea that the virus was created in a lab and was accidentally or otherwise released on an unsuspecting public. And more evidence is coming out to confirm that Fauci knew of the leaked virus months before it was said to arrive on US and Western soil. Fauci urged his cohorts in the Wuhan lab where gain-of-function experiments were being conducted to ‘remain calm. We will get through this.’ Fauci was funding this research with US taxpayer money, despite being ordered to ‘cease and desist’ this research since 2017. They were considered too dangerous. And Fauci continues to lie about this virus. Opinion is the vaccines, which Fauci was instrumental in helping to create are not vaccines, ‘but antidotes that will suppre symptoms of the virus.’ only for a time, then the person will have to be re-vaccinated.’ Fauci knows the vaccines are not effective against the Delta strains of the Covid-19 virus, because these strains were not even in existence when the vaccines/antidotes were created.Fauci’s greatest fear and his madness to get as many people as possible vaccinated as quickly as possible: Fauci doesn’t know who has records of his experiments or who now has the ability to duplicate his experiments and create an even more dangerous or mor contiguous virus. For certain the Chinese army went in and cleaned up the Wuhan lab since as early as 2019. Fauci even under oath is still not willing to tell the truth. The entire world is decieived!
Government announced that some dozen plus cruise ships will visit The Bahamas in 10 days. Great for the economy. Long suffering persons employed in the tourism industry or related industries really need the activity. BUT can this be done safely? What contingency plans are in place? Have quarantine stations been set up for persons testing positive for corona of even becoming ill? Stations away from those being used for locals. And who will foot the bill including the possible costs of having these passengers flown home after missing the departure of their cruise ships.
Psychologists say that ‘for every 1% increase in the misery level, there can be at least a 13% increase in crime and violence. And The Bahamas is attesting to that. The deadly shootings over the past several weeks is simply intolerable. And the fear and uncertainty of the future and the anger of losing loved ones, jobs and other assets and freedoms leads to a feeling of hopelessness and helplessness. Government must now push a message of help and hope. Not further divide the country or send messages of forcing people, who are already in fear and distrust, to take vaccines.
Marvin Dames was just in the media cautioning police about ‘the reckless and unwarranted use of firearms. Police are not supposed to use or discharge their weapons unless they are threatened and in fear fro theiir lives. But apparently many have go into these inner city areas to play ‘cowboys and crooks.’ Some even faring suspects to run or try escape. In the case of former racist police Derek Chavun, who killed George Floyd with a knee to his neck. The judge lamented that not only did Chavun violate his police training and use excessive force, but he violated Floyd’s rights after he had him captured and in custody. He was supposed to keep the suspect safe. In this incident, an innocent bystander was shot by police. So is the use of firearms by police too excessive and too reckless?
Even with some 16 months of the country being locked or under curfew, the crime, and murder numbers under Marvin Dames will exceed those of his predecessors. And this is despite Marvin Dames spending more Millions on crime fighting tools and technology for the police force than any of his predecessors, and many feel that most of the equipment/technology Dames purchased was overpriced or padded. And most of what Marvin purchased Beas crime detection and crime fighting rather than geared towards crime prevention. Since the Kemp Road massacre, that everyone on the streets have information about who did it, it appears that not only have persons attempting to carry out murders become more bold and brazen, but they are expending more rounds of ammunition on their victims. They seem more determined to make certain of the outcome of their mission and less concerned about the consequences of their actions. How can you police and curtail the activities of murdering criminals who are not deterred by the punishment for their actions. Some say, ‘these killings ainn ger stop until they start hanging these #iggas in Rawson Square at high noon.’ Another thought, though less popular or approved is’ I see why da police is have to kill them.’ But murder is murder!
most of the $350 million spend will be outside Grand Bahama and The Bahamas, as it will be on equipment that is manufactured elsewhere then brought in and set up. But the real benefit will be when the shipyard is up and operating in its expanded capacity. And a wise investor will look to set up businesses that caters to the spin-offs of the shipyard. Supplies for example or uniforms or housing etc.
