They claim they are innocent. They sit in jail for several years. Then they are released on bail. Then they are either murdered or killed by the police (same thing). So the case never makes it to court. There’s no trial and the evidence the police has is never revealed to the public. Did they have anything linking the suspect (and now murder victim) to the original crime? Same happens when police claim they killed someone. The matter barely makes it before the coroner’s court. No evidence is given. The alleged weapon is not produced. Who knows. It can be the same gun that mysteriously shows up on each of these ‘styled’ police killings. Yes, they have access to the evidence store room. And there have been many instances where evidence in trials have disappeared. Could never be found. So if there is systematic and organized killing of young, Black men in this country it must be investigated and revealed. If it involves the police all the way to the cabinet level, it must be exposed . And this country cannot wait for the police or the politicians to expose themselves. This country cannot continue to have over 100 young men murdered every year. Every time someone is murdered or someone is killed by the police it affects hundreds of other people. And if the police are involved in the unnecessary killing of people they are supposed to be serving and protecting, that is very seriously dangerous. To the future and progress of this country. Young Black men are becoming an endangered species in this country. Not only are they being killed and murdered, but they are being discriminated against and curtailed from earning a living. Tell me I lie when I say more Bahamians have been arrested and charged under this current Minnis administration for trying to earn a living than ever in the history of this country. Chinese now own more liquor stores and restaurants than all Bahamians. And the Greeks have a monopoly on the fast food and high end restaurants. But if you Black and Bahamian, they want you dead!

This is the beginning of the shortest year in the FNM’s government as the scamper to complete its political agenda, its campaign promises and prepare for elections.
