Will the vaccination be some other means to restrict and control? They are now requiring a travel visa. Will they eventually require persons to be vaccinated to travel or to attend events and institutions? Are the corona cases falling too rapidly for some people’s benefit?

Can the PLP shake off the ghost of their last administration
al least in time to convince the Bahamian people to vote for them in the next election? As the political season blossoms and theMay date draws near, there is many a narrative about whoeillwin the next election. Whois most qualified. Bahamians agree that the country is in bad shape, financially and with quite a bit of people not working since March of 2020, things have really been tough and many anticipate more tough times ahead. Despite this, most will end their narrative with something like, ‘yes things may be bad,
But we can’t make the mistake and put the PLP back in power right now.’

The fact that the top brass of the police force and evel all the way up to the rank of the minister of national security has came to the public and defended every police shooting in this country (maybe with the exception of one) tends to indicate that police have been given the green light to shoot (and to kill) certain suspects. If this is, indeed, the
Case then this is a serious problem. It is certainly a miscarriage of justice and every single person in this country should be in fear for their lives. The fear of being shot deaf in a hail of bullets at a road block, check point or. Traffic stop.

Government should not commit to any long term agreements for the supply of vaccines since the Johnson and Johnson version, which was supposed to be approved yesterday, seems to be the most practical for this country and is the only one that promises to prevent persons from getting critically ill from the corona virus and also promises to help prevent deaths in critically ill and hospitalized patients. Other benefits touted are (1) the J&J vaccine does not have to be stored in sub-zero temperatures, which makes the logistics of distribution less costly and less complicated. And the J&J vaccine only requires one shot annually, which will
also be more cost effective and easier to administer.

And since Hubert Ingraham is reportedly promoting the taking of the vaccine, maybe he should tout the government to switch to the Johnson and Johnson vaccines, once they become available. This is the only vaccine that is claiming outright to prevent the virus, it can be stored in a regular refrigerator and it only requires a single shot per patient. And NO, I am not promoting the taking of the vaccines, but if you want to, at least know your options

And you cannot ignore the fact that government income is exceeding it’s projected income. An indication that the economy, including tourism is hungry to return.

Overconfidence Ma bredda. . A dangling carrot could be a dangerous thing to the hand that holds it.

According to news reports, he didn’t go anywhere. He even stopped going to the food store. So, apparently the virus was transported to him. But I question him being so adamant about taking the vaccine now. The vaccine will not offer any additional protection to persons already wearing masks and following emergency protocols. But Otis great publicity for the vaccines.

The Tribune continues to undo itself is inappropriate and/or based or yellow journalism. IS the bold, oversized headline revealing the former medical status appropriate or necessary? Certainly family members and friends find it offensive. The Tribune probably didn’t give as big a headline to Ingraham when he first won the Elections and became prime minister. If fact The Tribune started using this size headline frequently when a young, Bahamian student was caught up in a firearm affair in the US. And they plastered his name onthe front page of their newspaper, this size print and even larger, for months.
