Became suspicious when one of the principals of the company tried to withdraw his funds from the company before meeting his untimely death. Is Arawak x the Bahamian FTX?
As bad as it is now, predictions are that the murder situation will get worse before it gets better. Not just here in The BaHAMAS but in several other countries. For example the US has experienced over fifty mass killings thus far in 2024 and four college students been murdered on various college campuses around that country. And three of the victims were known to their assailants. One killed over an argument over who should take out the garbage. The troubling thing about the New Providence murders is victims tend to be very young and when suspects are caught they also tend to be young. Meaning the culture of murder is being passed down from generation to generation. Does the younger generation believe it’s no longer wrong to kill and neither do they fear the consequences, even if it means tge, too may lose their lives.
Maybe communities can do a little more to help the homeless in their communities. Many persons do help individually by giving them food and water and clean clothes. And there are over 150 inmates in prison with mental illnesses. They are desperately in need of underwear, shirt pants ( like basketball pants ) and socks. Maybe Tge Trubune could find a small space (to solicit these items. Officers from the prison will come and collect them. pS: Sandilands can use similar items for both ladies and men in addition to toiletries.
The two greatest factors affecting jury duty is fear and inconvenience of the jury pool. Firstly in this day and time with the high numbers of murders, persons do have a genuine fear that if they serve on the jury and on the wrong case, there will be retaliation. And this fear is reasonable. Secondly those in the jury pool don’t like the turning around and inconvenience that happens before a jury is being selected. Even though employed persons are supposed to be paid by their employers some do like the inconvenience. Once a trial starte things run more smoothly, but the jury pool must be prepared to be called in on short notice. The good thing is once you serve.. you have that duty accomplished, at least for a year or more.
Sounds like the person who said ‘ I can’t believe people actually read the obituaries.’ And the statistics about the number of police officers involved in crime recently is troubling,
That is tge reason why these murders must be solved and a court trial must take place! The media paints a picture that many of these killings are as a result of gang violence and whilst the police admit there are some gang activity, who is to say that many , many of these young boys who are being shot deaf are NOT involved in crime or gangs. And the fact that even when a suspect is captured and charged, less than fifty percent of these suspects make it to court . Can’t you see tge dominoes in effect and will continue falling if the first one isn’t stopped from falling? So when the suspect is released from jail, even on bail he too is gunned down. Does that prove he is innocent or guilty? And if he is innocent doesn’t that give the guilty person an escape route and the opportunity to kill again? Recently when a young man ( under the age of 20) was killed, there were several ‘ talks’ in the streets as to why the man was murdered. None of the rumors indicated the man was involved in any crime, but the police report hinted at gang activity and to ‘be cautious with whom you keep company with. But some of the stories say it was about a girl he was involved with, one said it was to do with a misunderstanding he had with someone on his job… the point is if people who are not involved in criminal activity are being gunned down and being brushed off as ‘young criminals’ or ‘gang bangers’ this problem is more serious than one would think. Basically no young Bahamian male is safe in New Providence. And a lot of the cries from mothers ‘they killed my baby, my good son’ are as genuine as tge screams , tge hurt, tge pain that she and many others will endure for years to come, Then GOD will judge!

Get dem Reggie! They will stop anything that is successful and beneficial to Bahamians. It’s all about race and racism. Do you know why the Democrats doesn’t want to close the Southern border? Simply because they can’t stop the flow of migrants from Haiti. And because of the reproduction habits of Haitians ( they still love large families with five and six children not including those outside) . Blacks will not only become the official minority race in the United States again, and getting all the benefits, but Blacks can become the majority race in America in 20 short years. Especially since the white race is on a decline, they tried bringing more white people from Ukraine and other places but these people have a difficult time adapting to the American lifestyle and being so far away from home. Many want to return home despite the war. So they trying to balance things out by allowing in more Hispanics. And they are dispersing them throughout the United States, but mostly bin traditional Black neighborhoods. Blacks must now compete with these new migrants for housing, job and economic opportunities and health care. A similar situation exists in The BaHAMAS, where reports are that Haitians outnumber Bahamians as much as five to one
Half of the states in the US have legalized marijuana and generally crime has decreased in those states along with gradual declines in the consumption of marijuana. The problem here is the majority of marijuana on the streets of New Providence has been weaponized. Legalizing it will allow a better control over what is being sold on the streets and eliminate the turf wars and the alleged funding of criminal activity through the sale of illegal ( and weaponized) marijuana. The body of an eleven year old girl who went missing in Texas on her way to school was found in a river. A suspect who has a criminal record that includes sex criminal including indecent assault on a minor in In police custody and expected to be charged with murder along with o other charges
