The only persons fingers are being pointed to thus far are non-Black, non-Bahamians. so were Bahamians hoodwinked and bamboozled out of scarce, hard-earned tax payer's money. The government should demand that the 7% excess money be paid back. Who was it that paid for a jet that was never delivered? Bahamian governments hire consultants who overcharge them or set them up to be ripped off But red (or red and white) flags were raised when the purchase number of ships decreased by two and the price either increased or remained the same. And you would be surprised at the number of Bahamians and Bahamian businesses that have this experience where they are either overcharged, required to pay deposits that are not returned or get ripped off when they are required to prepay for goods and their goods are never shipped or the wrong items are shipped.
Be careful how y’all treat da Haitians. Eventually Bahamians May have to run to the mountains of Haiti and Trinidad and Jamaica and other places to avoid rising sea levels
The ‘War on Drugs’ was forced on the Bahamas and other Caribbean countries by the US. It was a way of handicapping young black men in employment and preventing them from traveling or educational opportunities. And if you don’t believe that how many white men or persons in The Bahamas Or Caribbean Neil need to go get drug records expunged? The few young tourists that came and got caught with small amounts of marijuana should have gotten fined and not given a record because most of them were college students. But O, that would’ve affected the way Bahamians were treated before the drug courts. But now the drugs on the streets now have been altered and contaminated and are the most dangerous of all time. So young people should be severely cautioned that having their records cleaned is no invitation to do drugs.
Can increase in solar energy, decrease in fossil fuels and air conditioning slow down global warming? What is the real reason Trump is pulling out from the Global Climate Agreement? He claims it is too expensive for US companies.
Do you know illegal drug smuggling was going on in the 1800’s when most Bahamians were still slaves? Coca Cola had Cocaine in it and cost 5 cents but most Bahamians were slaves and had no money. Today they still have The Bahamas posted as a drug trafficking nation (state) but 80 Million tonnes of Cocaine enters the United States annually and less than 1% or it passes through the Bahamas. Not to speak for other drugs from the Far East like opoium and Fentanyl. Yet we have a sellout pimp like Marvin Dames who is organizing raids and killing his own people under the pretense that he is fighting a drug law. They see you as a cheaply bought idiot and the Bahamian people think even less of ya
With the missing list though not official , but said to be over 200, there has to be discipline in cleaning up debris. Should priority be given to areas where persons are missing or to areas that are most needed to get the islands back up and running. A touch and go situation no matter what. And then some residents may never return to claim their property or clear it up.
If a man deserves a gold watch, then give it to him. There are many assets including large chunks of cash and even assault rifles that went missing from the various US government agencies ( Assault rifles started showing on the streets of The Bahamas and Caribbean countries after hundreds of such weapons went missing during the US’s operation, ‘Fast and Furious.’ Those weapons were never accounted for nor was anyone held responsible. So if you Police and punish one, then you should also police and punish your own.
