Abaco and Grand Bahama will get hit equally as hard. Don't forget this hurricane will increase in both intensity and size by the time it passes over these islands and they eye will pass over both of them.
A little commotion and political turmoil is good for the country. It clears the air of stifling opinions and unclog the political pipeline. Person in political office get reminded that the time clock is running and those aspiring to those offices get reminded that the people will settle for nothing less than great expectations.
The history of Pinewood is that it was originally proposed for an upscale subdivision like Sea Breeze. After the developers found the area was prone to flooding, the made the lots smaller and sold them to poor, unsuspecting Bahamians. The effects of flooding in the area could have been minimal if the developer had raised the foundations of the houses one or two blocks higher than they are now and at least the homes would stay dry even when the rotate flooded. And because many of the houses are prefabricated with concrete roofs it would be extremely expensive for homeowners to attempt to raise their foundations now.. so the best alternatives now are passive drainage systems or collection wells with pumps
There is no excuse for murder, none. Especially if the person (s) you kill are not Pershing you. In fact they are going about their own business, living life peacefully. And anyone who attempts to justify these execution type killings are nothing short of murderers themselves. In their hearts they have already committed bloody murder.
What this country needs to do is follow the example in the Bible when Cain killed Able. Mark these killers and release them! Put a bright red monitering brace around their necks and release them back in society. Make the brace such that they cannot turn their necks to see who is behind them. Those who are not killed will die of fright or stress. And make a Lea that anyone that kill them will receive the same mark. A bright , red monitoring neck brace that is irrevocable even unto death.
Punishment more severe than life imprisonment must be given to persons who carry out these execution type murders. Who come into people’s home and take lives as it it belongs to them. They too, need to be executed as that is the only thing that will stop these type killings. To allow them to sit in jail and brag at the expense of the taxpayers is not a deterrent. These are born killers and need to be hanged. And then the idiots why attempt to justify young men being gunned down in this fashion.
You fumbass where did you get this information from? The report said the two young men worked at different Super Value locations and both had just come home from work. You are confusing the photo (clearly taken in a grave yard at a funeral with the story or you are intentionally making mischief. Living on the dead, cry shame.
It is shocking to learn the mindset of some young men in this country who believe they have the right to kill someone who doesn’t share the same views and values as them or even creates the smallest infraction against them. They also feel they have the right to kill, maim or injure anyone related to these persons or who is present when they come to ‘collect ‘ them. This is a very serious and dangerous mindset. A threat to society as we know it. So many young men are finding themselves in the crossfire and losing their lives because of it. Can the country continue these cold blooded killers to only get life imprisonments and live off the taxpayer for the rest of their natural lives? They call it gang warfare and have been programmed to kill anyone who is not a member of their gang.
The FNM running scared. Even the most die hard FNM supporters has had enough of BPL and its disruptive and costly blackouts. Businesses are suffering old people and young people are terrified and suffering. The sick and bedridden are miserable and getting bedsores and heatstroke. And if Minnis had taken the stand he’s taking now four or five months ago the situation will never gotten this bad. And so now it’s a life or death crisis situation for Minnis and the entire FNM government.
