Yes the boys had underaged girls in their room which resulted in the lashings. Apparently one of the boys (who got his beating first) was not involved in entertaining the young girls but he got whipped because he was in the room. Had this whole not been recorded and then posted on Facebook the backlash would not have been as severe
The women need to stop having baby daddies and start having fathers in their children’s lives. Not only for the boy who was the innocent victim of this crime but for the one who think his head twist on wrong and he could go around taking another life at 15 a16 years old and posting up with gang signs. If both fathers or even one was involved it would not have gotten that far. If the father of the victim was involved he would have approached the bully/ gang boy and say if you have a problem with my son, come talk to me. And for the bully a right thinking father would not allow him to join a gang or bully another student to the point of killing him. Now two lives are lost. Two families are devastated, two schools are affected and society as a whole suffers.
Information is the older student who did the stabbing is a gang member and had being persuing the younger student for a while, even showing up at his school. Unfortunately many students who are confronted in this manner don’t have a father or older brother at home to stand up for them. So as the police force sends home a number of retiring officers, maybe the Ministry of Education May consider bringing them into the high schools, at least, not as security officers, but to deal with student issues that may be threatening their lives or safety. The young men especially, who may be under pressure to join gangs, or may just be getting bullied generally..
Anything is silly to a fool who doesn’t understand it. So in fourth grade English: They forced Anthony Ferguson to retire certain police officers over the age of 60 or with 40 years of service. Ferguson is both 60 and has had 40 years on the force. But he claims he isn’t going anywhere. So there now you see how silly your post is?
So at the end of the day they will tel Anthony Ferguson ‘Now the same gun you took and shot your comrades with, turn that same gun on yourself. Or do you rather we get someone under 60 to do it for you?
Any person who saw the video with the drive by killing in Fox Hill or the robbery attempt on the Chinese in Nassau Village that ended in him losing his life has to be bothered by the level of crime in this country, murder especially. Or to even see the young man on the front of The Tribune this morning who after committing such a heinous crime finds his own life is now in danger and feels he will be safer in prison. Or about the fatal stabbing today of a 9 year old by a 14 year old. And about the stabbings and cutlass attack on the weekend or the four or five males charged today with the brutal beating and killing in Freeport, can you really say you feel safer? Do you feel that your family and loved ones are safer that they were two years ago in this country? No one is denying the crime numbers, murder included are down, but the feeling that a huge, dark cloud of murder and mayhem is still overhead. And so one must ask the PM,, ‘Are you sure you gat this ?’ Agreed all of the magic buttons ‘ have been pushed over and repeatedly, and even though it can be confidently concluded that no magic button exists, a sixth sense say go back and try again cause something gotta work. The graveyard filling up with young dead bodies, the prison filling up with spiritually dead males and homes and families are left torn apart and broken. And so you must ask the PM again, ‘You sure you gat this?’
The problem is there may be a disconnect. When Marlon Johnson and others started out publicizing this project, they published that all persons wishing to benefit from this program must be current with all their taxes, including property taxes and business license. Well government has since removed the business license fees that will benefit most of these businesses but many may be delinquent on their property taxes. And since many of the buildings in this area are delapidated or abandoned, the taxes being assessed is too high. Another problem is the persons occupying property in that area do not have title to the property. Grandma may have died and left if to a son or daughter and now some of the grandchildren occupy the property. Another issue may be was there was implied threats of sending persons who apply for benefits to jail if they could not account for the materials they get from government. The problem with that is there is a lot of theft going on in the area and if the material gets stolen the property owner will be responsible. Also the owner will be responsible for hiring a contractor who may also be dishonest. And steal some of the material.
For the past few weeks all one can hear all day is sirens and see flashing lights at night. Police cars flying through the heavy traffic streets. Hard to figure if this is another crime fighting initiative or general increased crime.
