John says...

For those of us who are Christians, The Bible says when Elizabeth, who was bearing a child (John The Baptist) heard the greetings of Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was also bearing a child ( the Baby Jesus), the baby in Elizabeth’s womb, John The Baptist, lept with joy as she became filled with the Holy Spirit. Esau, who was a twin, came into the world grasping on the heel of his brother, Jacob. And everyone who has read the Bible or attends church regularly knows about the Time of Jacob’s trouble caused by this very same twin brother. Jacob wrestled with the angel. Esau stole his birthright. And after Cain killed Abel, as part of his punishment God put a mark on Cain so that wherever he went throughout the earth, everyone would know that he was a murderer and had killed his brother, Abel. And Even though Cain showed no remorse for killing his brother, he complained of the punishment. He said when people found out who he was and that he was a murderer, they would try to kill him. So God also put severe punishment to anyone who attempted to kill Cain. And the Bible tells us that ‘as it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end of days. So today, as the world’s history continues to draw to a close, mankind seems to be more concerned about the punishment for murderers, rather than the deed itself. Some say the death penalty is too harsh and cruel and even barbaric. And as murders continue rampant, others say the only way to stop the killing is to killers. They want the death penalty enforced. But how many of these young killers came into the world ‘grasping on the heels of their brothers ‘ and destined to do evil, including murder, rather than filled with the Holy Spirit like John The Baptist? Are you your brother’s keeper?

Unfortunately you blame the kids or ‘the way they the kids are raised.’ But unfortunately ‘the kids’ come into this world and meet this carnage going on. Many parents, yes even the single ones, give their life and their all into raising their children. But apparently external forces, gangs, peer pressure, social media, movies, games end to have more influence on these young minds. It was unthinkable to see or hear of a young Bahamian male kill someone in a fit of rage or jealousy. It was impossible to imagine these same 18, 19 20 year olds sitting and plotting and planning to plot murder of not one but sometimes two or three individuals and actually carrying out their plans, somewhat successfully and then showing no remorse after committing these heinous crimes. In fact behaving as it’s no big deal to take a life and in fact, some doing it again when given a second chance. And so it is not extreme to ask ‘what type of animals did these parents raise?’ But at the same time mothers are left in disbelief and confusion wanting to love their ‘good children ‘ but mothers especially, not believing such a cold blooded killer could come from their wombs.

This "Global Engineered Financial Crisis' started in 2008. First with the housing crisis when thousands of loans were given out at rates and under conditions the borrowers would not be able to pay. Even though most of these loans were in the US, they were sold to unsuspecting banks across the globe by gangster banker. Then these bankers still went and got bail-out money from the Obama administration to the tune of $57 Billion and they still foreclosed on many homes and many who were unemployed also found themselves homeless. Well the same thing happens with countries. These organizations come in and loan money. Lots of it. And so the countries find it more and more difficult to pay the loans. So they must raise taxes and introduce new taxes. And even after this, some find they are still operating in deficit or their national budgets are still growing. So organizations, like the World Bank and IMF come and offer assistance. But the requirements are stringent and all the quality of life has been bled out of the citizens of that country. The cost of living, especially for food, becomes too high for the lower and middle class especially. Government is so indebted, it is no longer autonomous, and rather than cater to the needs and wishes of its people, it must now pander to the organizations it is indebted to. Civil unrest and rioting become alternatives to homelessness and starvation. And in some cases the situation becomes such that the country becomes a failed state.

While the police are saying persons may find themselves being killed because they get in a relationship with the wrong person or hang out with the wrong people, word on the street is that these double, execution style murders are the new trademark of gangs and the new trend in murders. And anyone that happens to be with a person who has a hit put on them can be killed, even if they barely know the target. This means that more innocent victims cam become victims in this senseless killing, not just the crossfire but intentionally killed,.. but for no reason.

And imagine what will happen when NHI comes on stream. The figures being thrown around is a contribution of $84.00 a month, per employee. Take a look around and see how many businesses can afford that. You think if they cannot keep the lights on they can afford these contributions? Many will be wiped out within the first year of this scheme going into effect, causing more unemployment and financial headaches for government. Making twenty five cents on a phone card, a vendor will have to sell 336 phone cards or turn over revenue of $1,645.00 just to pay his NHI contribution. And there are some mom and pop stores that turn over $100 a day. So basically government is telling these businesses that they can no longer exist. So say goodbye to the patties and soda stand.

John says...

In other words being delinquent on your NIB contributions will not prevent you from paying your business license fees. But it will prevent a company from getting a business license certificate after they have paid their fees. So government will still get its revenue.

John says...

With the current crime situation, the police need the confidence and support of the general public. But when they (police and Ministry of National Security) choose to be unaccountable and a secret organization unto themselves and when the public becomes aware of young men being held illegally in police custody and losing their jobs because of it and other young men, albeit innocent, also taken into custody and severely and brutally beaten, it becomes a three way battle. If police must damage of injure or otherwise violate the rights of 12 innocent yourng men and, in some cases, also infringe of the rights and privacy of their families to solve one crime then the country may as well let crime and criminals run rampant. Because in those instances the police is doing more harm and damage to society than the criminals. And the new trend now is after abusing and after torturing these individuals, they charge them with ‘assaulting a police officer ‘, to avoid any backlash. The crime element cannot be cleaned up with police officers acting outside the law. They just become another big, violent gang in uniform.

John says...

Shouldn’t it be obvious now that government and the police are diametrically opposed to the crime element. So when they (government or police) brag about peace and safety or the crime figures being down, they are actually saying’, ‘We’re winning the war on crime.’ And the crime element (must be organized ) responds by saying, ‘No you’re not’, and confirms it by setting of another wave of violent (and deadly) crime. And so the public feels even more unsafe. Who is really in control?

John says...

You sound retarded. Police stations are linked by internet. And how difficult is it to send emails twice a day from each station naming the persons they have in custody, along with date of birth and street address.

John says...

Police should have a list (inventory) of all persons being held in custody and available at all police stations. Updated every 8 hours. The right to hold persons in custody does not forgo the police responsibility to be accountable.
