A problem will not disappear unless the factors that create or contribute to the problem are addressed. And, apparently government is taking the right approach by systematically addressing the problem of Shantytowns. Three main factors help create these shantytowns besides the fact that they are a refuge for illegal immigrants. One the cost of living in this country is extremely high and many people find it difficult to come up with the funds to move into regular housing. And even when Social Services assists, they create a problem for landlords because they help persons move into apartments with no means of paying future rent as it becomes due. So the landlord eventually have to kick them out and they are either on the streets or back in the shantytowns. Two : There is a definite housing shortage in many of the islands and areas where shantytowns exist. And when government completes its survey it will see that the number of people living in shantytowns far exceed the amount of housing available. And this leads to the third problem. The long and seemingly unending downturn in the economy has lead to not only rental units falling into disrepair and now off the market, but also a number of private homes and family dwellings have suffered similar fate. Just drive around this island or go into many settlements on the Family Islands. So how can Government assist in getting some of these buildings repaired and persons back in them? The economy must impfor certain.

One thing is for sure: the more snares and entanglements he manages to escape from, the more arrogant and ruthless he seems to become. The power is getting to his head. And to think he wants a second time. For him it is not impossible.
The war with Syria and the other six Muslim nations started 6 presidents ago. Can you count backwards that far? Decades before Assad even thought of becoming president.
O ye hypocrites...how can you see what is happening in Syria and cannot see what is happening in The Bahamas and The Caribbean? Do you think they would be wanting an oil refinery and oil storage facility if there was no oil? Every country that has wealth and natural is under attack. Check out the poverty and violence and unrest in Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. Billions of dollars more oil and natural gas has been discovered in Guyana... you think the people of Guyana will benefit? A minister of national security of one of the world powers said, ‘It is easier to kill a million people than to control a million people.’ Not fake news, false flags!
In the Netherlands the jail population is being reduced by 50 percent while crime is down by 39%. Unlike the US, the Dutch do not believe in long prison sentences but for us more on reform and rehabilitation . The average prison is 3 months compared to 5 years in the US and the rate of recidivism is low. There are only 39 prisoners serving life sentences. The US has 5 percent of the worlds population but holds 50 percent of the worlds’ prisoners.
Dames claims he made raids at the prison numerous times as a police officer. So he should be able to say if at least one of the videos was actually Fox Hill Prison.
