Well at least murders for the period from November to now are down very significantly. And if persons want to engage the police in gun battle then may the law take it's course. Is the number five of six that have lost the battle with police in recent gunfights? As police disband the gangs and theft rings persons are running scared. But yet some are desperate. Hopefully this is the bottom of the barrel and murders for 2018 will be down by more than 50%. Hopefully!

Porcupine..you really sound like a jackass! If you read the marriage wows as presented in any Christian Church marital rape cannot exist. And if you watch what’s going in the US with so many being accused of inappropriate behavior you will see the intention of this agenda. The more they restrict and take away the powers of a male, the more they emasculate him. The intention of these people is to make little distinction between male and female and married and single. But yet they want to hold on to supremacy of race. Then that will become the only single qualifying characteristic for who is better than whom. Does the name Hitler ring a bell?

A school teacher predicted more than 40 years ago that even the human body will adapt to the changes in life brought on by technology. As humans are required to do less and less physical labor, the body will become weaker and weaker while the brain will develop the ability to do more and multitask. Well here in the Bahamas people are eating less and less food that is healthy and nutritious. Women are becoming more and more obese and many young men are consuming more and more drugs and alcohol. Everyone seems to want to be in a state of mental suspension where reality is not necessarily the dominant factor.

Many businesses have been losing money since The Great Depression hit in 2008 and many others are still not making a profit. Does a lack of profit always mean it is time to close shop and dissolve a company? One would think that the recession would have given Bahama Property Fund the opportunity to acquire additional properties and extend and even diversify its portfolio. A chance to get bigger and more profitable when the recession ends. But unfortunately that didn’t happen and unfortunately the country seems to be slipping into another recession before recovering from the first. Also unfortunate is the fact that because of the recession being so hard hitting and long lasting many businesses that may have been potential clients of BPF have restructured, downsized or totally disappeared off the horizon. And because of advances in technology or new restrictions, others do not see the need to have a brick and mortar presence in this jurisdiction. Just watch what is going on with Royal Bank as it twists and wriggles itself and slims down trying to right size and return to profitability. Apparently the full service, large and well staff branches will no longer be the hallmark if RBC does not leave the Bahamas and Caribbean markets completely. A noted US economist said ‘You can no longer discuss Economics without discussing the ‘Amazon Effect.’ This refers to one line companies like Amazon that are gaining more and more market share while not really having a physical presence in a market or even a country. They create threats to the existence of malls and to companies that own and manage properties, like BPF. Amazon’s revenue is soon expected to surpass that of Walmart, especially now that it has ventured into both the food and shipping businesses.

Then you should also wonder about Somalia. How could they in those small, sometimes unmotored boats hijack some of the largest and most sophisticated ships in the world.

Glad the letter writer brought the US into the argument. Because with all its sophisticated suivalliance equipment illegals from Haiti and Cuba and other countries get into the US. And so does drugs and other contrabands. And guns are smuggled out of the US and end up in almost every other country in the world. So how porous are our boarders compared to the US and other countries? As was also indicated: Because of President Donald Trumps change in policy towards illegal immigrants, the Bahamas has now become the destination of choice for migrants leaving Haiti illegally. And so the Defense Force must now adjust its detection and apprehension procedures. A Haitian slooop that wants to end its journey in the Bahamas will take a different route from one that wants to continue on to the US. The latter will travel on the outskirts while those coming to New Providence will use the element of surprise. ‘Bey dey bold hey.. dem Haitians come right up the Defense Force and still get away.”

So where is this all leading to? Call it a One World Economy, Single economy whatever. But the system is being restructured such that either you are one of the 'chosen' Elites or you are a worker. No more middle class, no more in between. Either you are a servant or you are one of the masters. And the servant class will become dispensable, just like the worker ants. When you cannot produce you will be destroyed. The working class will only be allowed to earn enough to sustain themselves and all excesses will be reverted to the government, then to the elites, vis a vis taxes, fees, fines and yes confiscation. It is written "no one shall be able to buy or sell save he receive the mark.'

Why do all persons of Haitian lineage hate on each other , especially the men, ok males..who have to challenge each other on all fronts (ok another bad choice of words).

Two things the commodore should have learned by now : (1) The Haitians are no longer headed to Florida because they are afraid of Donald Trump and his threats to illegals. (2) You must never compromise your duties, your responsibility and the safety of this country to stand down on your right, as Commodore of the Defense Force, have full and unfettered access to all the seas and all the coastlines of this country. You should never agree to stand down on these duties, especially if you are not privy to the reason and to the activities that may be going down in your absence or in the absence of the Defense Force. If there is some covert activity carried out by some other Bahamian agency or some foreign government or some joint venture you should still be briefed. At the end of the day you are still the one directly responsible for the safety of our waters.

Hope they get the maximum penalty. You cannot have any pity for persons who lie in wait for others to rob them of their own property. Then even go further and take the innocent person’s life in front of her underage son.
