These people have no conscience. Doing this to BEC when it was financially challenged, ok bankrupt, and had the entire country suffering was like raping an old woman who was mentally challenged and physically handicapped, while you forced her family and siblings to watch...These people are scum. PLP should never see office again in 20 generations!
Yet ya'' say Bahamians are corrupt, incompetent, lazy among other things. Yet look how much millions (including the elaborate false check scam) BPL can walk away from BEC with leaving that corporation more cripple and dysfunctional. Cry shame!
This was a management agreement that made no sense in the first instance. And BPL is leaving BEC in a worse condition than it met the corporation in. Nothing has been accomplished along the lines of improving the company and BPL shouldbe made to return some of the revenue it 'garnished' from BEC, including the millions that were allegedly stolen.
The fourty percent increase in murder is perhaps the biggest black eye this new FNM government has experienced since coming to office in May 2017. Yet is seems like they are employing the same strategy and crime fighting tactics that have failed to produce desired results over the past decade. Are we, Bahamas, in for another five years of triple digit murders?
BPL destroyed all the electrical appliances in my house since October of last year. Cordless a/c phones, tv's , internet routers and the fridge. Fast as you replace one thing another gets hit. They deny there is a problem with the electricity but neighbors havin the same problem. So now we live with just the lights and tv.. no fridge even....the new BPL elites..no high light bills to worry us.
It is good to see that at least some efforts are being made to stand up against and eventually stop the extremely high rate of murders in the country. While the group clashed on more help from parents, politicians and the police, parents must also bemand more accountability from their children and do more to prevent them from becoming involved in activities (drugs and gangs) especially that can lead their sons from becoming victims of murder or even a killer. It is sad that, as a country, the Bahamas has tolerated the high incidence of murder for so long. And only until those communities that are especially affected by murder stand up and flush out the persons promoting crime in their communities will there even be an indentation made. The talk on the street is the recent spate of murders is a result of feuding gang members. So a bigger step in the right direction is to find out if your children are involved and gangs. Then the police need to disband these gangs, further identify their members and profile them and keep heat on them for every crime they commit until they are sent to jail or turns away from crime
