The day is going to come when all Bahamians will have to unite and stand firm to stop these murders. Otherwise the killers will become more brace and daring and the will become helpless to stop these murders, not unlike it almost is now. Then people with the means will flee leaving a failed nation behind.

We have a serious problem in this country we have Bahamians rallying for the murders to increase just because their party is not in power. They praying for a Moody's downgrade the government look bad. They looking for every crack and fault in this new government to say they have failed. These ain't the Bahamians we use to know. People praying for murders to increase only for political gain. They are cold, heartless cut throats who are contributing to the problems he n this country.

It was said that when a police is off duty he should remove the hat and tunic. In this instance the cop is on a motorcycle so even if he is off duty he has to keep on his helmet one proper attire on the motorcycle. So you have to hear his side of the story. Maybe he was off and on his way home. A similar situation arose a few years ago when another police was videotaped racing his motorbike at the 'tracks.' Even though he was off duty and on his own bike, he was still wearing his police uniform pants. Many felt this was in poor taste especially since it was the days when the police would come out in full force and shut the tracks down. Now police officers must get the message that 'you are always a police even when you are off duty and so you should conduct yourselves accordingly. The public is watching.' Even though the officer may not have done anything wrong it does matter what the public perception is.

Well part of the reality is they are not getting the passenger numbers up to what was projected. So now the operators of the airport have to squeeze that additional revenue from every source available. And there is now talks that several family island airports will be taxing passengers the same as LPIA.

One time ago your parents use to tell you, "Don't worry about what other people have because you ain't know what they did to get it." Well in this day and time, when it is so difficult to keep your head above water and take care yourself and your family you have to be concerned about what other people have and how they got it. The more slackness that goes on in a government, the more expensive is the cost of living for those citizens who have to pay bills. And what is more bothersome is when people who can afford to pay do not bills they want you to pay. It also follows that they make laws they don't intend to abide by.

maybe we need to go back to the days when the average household had just a kerosene lamp and a transistor radio. The radio was turned off when the signal died shortly after dark, and the lamp was put out around 9 or 10 o'clock. Everyone went to bed and slept peacefully not having to worry about how much the light bill was and Pam Hill could not get $35,000 a month from BPL.
