Irma is staying on a more Southwesterly course making a direct hit over the central and Southern Bahamas more probable. There is nothing to break the storm down and if it doesn't shift course the only thing to hope for is that it picks up speed and thereby spend less time over the islands. Some reports are predicting heavy sea surge (over 20 feet).
6Then the Lord said to Cain, “**Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.**”
8Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”d While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
9Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”
“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
10The Lord said, “What have you done? ***Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.*** 11Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”
13Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”
15But the Lord said to him, “Not soe ; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” ***Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him***. 16So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod,f east of Eden. there is nothing new under the sun..thou shalt not kill!
Bahamians are not taking this one lightly. They are already shopping for hurricane supplies. With the effects of Hurricane Mathew still on their minds (some experiencing a hurricane for the first time as an adult). They are wiser.
When you go on facebook and a post pops up "would you kill your brother for 200 million?" Or post a picture of a little girl and asks "would you slap this little girl for $100 million?" What do you think they are doing? They are planting seeds in your subconscious mind. You are not aware that it's there but the desire to slap someone or even kill someone is always there in your head. They did this with movies in the 1960s. They would put frames of popcorn or soda or even cigarettes and beer in the movie film. Your eyes couldn't pick these images up on the screen but your subconscious did. Then you would see many persons get up and go buy popcorn and soda or light up cigarettes ( yes smoking was legal in movies back then there was a smoking and a non smoking section in a building with no windows and one air conditioning system and yes we fell for it.' The practice of imbedded messages in movie was outl'. The government realized how powerful it was. Especially when 5 and 6 year olds developed cravings for cigarettes not unlike drug addicts.
Murder is a spirit and not necessarily an individual. And just like drugs or alcohol or even anger, if you court the spirit of murder it will consume you. The Bible instructs us to resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Based on statistical data another 41 Bahamians (mostly males) will meet their death (due to murder) before December 31, 2017. Sad reality but the truth doesn't have a mask! Can this be changed ? Can it? When my people who Are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray... amen
Fortunately most of the spaghetti models are showing the storm passing to the North East of the Bahamas. But as a local meteorologists said the steering currents that direct these hurricanes change constantly and so you must be vigilant and prepared.
The biggest problem and the most fundamental mistake this country, and especially those who are running it, are making is the belief that Marvin Dames, The Commissioner of Police, and the police force are suppose to fix the crime problem in this country. But when the police are called to scrape up a dead body and to haul some young men off to jail this is a representation of failure! Failure of the individual who did the killing, failure of the family that raised and (didn't nnurture him, failure of the church that failed at spiritual guidance, failure of peers and friends who failed to correct him and steer him in the right direction and failure of a country that continually allows for hundreds of murders to be committed. So the bottom line is you cannot fix from its end result but you must attack it at the roots. Children must be more disciplined and made accountable for their actions from an early age as opposed to being spoiled, especially with material things as surrogate parents. Parents must also be held accountable. They must bend the tree whilst is young. Mothers, especially, must stop excluding fathers out of the children's lives, and fathers must stop taking the high road at the earliest opportunity. The church must play its role early. When children are christened in a church, the church must take an extra effort to ensure the children attend Sunday School and church eventually. Encourage the mother's to keep the fathers active in their children's lives and teach them the disservice they are doing attending church and leaving their children at home or to get in mischief. Yes it still takes a village to raise a child not the police force alone.
When you suggest international regulations are putting undue pressure on the Bahamas they say you are anti/foreign. I say many things foreign are anti-Bahamian . And many who are included don't have the moral authority to be regulators
