A Bahamian and a Jamaican use to live as neighbors during the projects. Tings was tuff back then and one day they were trying to scrap up enough to get a meal. So the Bahamian say all he had left in his house was some rice. The Jamaican say he had lil bit meat. So rather than cook two pot they decide to cook the meat in the rice and share the pot in half. But half way thru the cooking the pot start to smell so good the Jamaican say to the Bahamian ' you know this real, meat cost more than rice so therefore I should get more from the pot than you." So the Bahamian thought about it then he replied," So you think so ay? So why you don't just take your meat out ma rice." And that's how looming begins. People wanting more than they bargain for or more than they put in. The Jamaican agreed to share the pot 59/50 then he try change he mind. The Bahamian wasn't getting swing either. The meat done season the rice so he tell the Jamaican take ya meat and cya! Share and share alike

PLP's early convention: Many PLP's have built their lives on the premise that their party will be the government. That way they hog up opportunities including government jobs, government scholarships, government contracts, low cost housing and everything they can get their crab (crabby) claws on. This is done at the expense of the rest of the Bahamians society. Obviously the recent loss (severe 'cut a$$') of the PLP is not sitting well with the (PLP) party or its claw grabbing supporters. They especially don't like how the Minnis Administration is clamping down on everything in an effort to save the country and make life better for everyone. The 'all for me baby' people are vex. They want to topple the Minnis administration. Their early convention is evidence of this. For many of them five years is too long to do without government slackness. To the true patriots of the Bahamas they need to be kept out for at least 10 years. Don't just save the bays... Save the Bahamas!

Neighbors said they saw a truck loaded with young men passing the area who told them to 'go inside." Had they called the police, this tragedy may have been avoided.

The government must find the magic button to get the economy moving, if only just a little bit. Everyone is complaining that this is the worse they have ever seen (business) over the past few months. More disheartening is Bah mar's statements that their current occupancy is at 25% and they don't expect it to get any better for the rest of the year. Hopefully occupancy will not get worse either. In the main time, Cuba is celebrating the arrival of its 4 millionth tourist for the year, 2017 and with more that another quarter left they can hit the 6 million visitor mark. Our tourist plant is mostly in disarray and needs an urgent makeover.

Some asinine, imbecile was on a radio talk show saying how macabre or boring lives persons must have to be tracking the murder rate. But it is only by tracking the murder count can a society know whether is is making progress in its fight with murder or if the situation is getting worse. And as the murder count sits near or above 90, no one can have sympathy for someone who takes lives of individuals who are not even involved with a dispute he may have with someone they may be related to. Such a coward, heartless clown. Worse when an innocent child is also killed. Turn him in and let him face the music. These type of killers need no sympathy or mercy.

Many people know about the Flloyd Mayweather fight but hardly anyone even knew a Bahamian was fighting the night before. Good fight Tureano!

If one part of The Myles Mumford Prophesy was true do will be the second part. And those who bringing in the guns into this country and other parts of the Caribbean and inciting murder and violence will be exposed. And your end will not be a good one. You have caused hardship and suffering and sorrow to many. Our sons lay in the grave or in prisons whiles your children go on to enjoy the finest things in life. You know who you are and your covert action will be uncovered when you least expect. The truth is many of you will not escape because of the blood you shed is not a small amount. I speak prophetically but your time has come. Pack your bags and leave our country now!

What I liked about Freeport was that the hotel properties seem more welcoming to local Bahamians thatthe ones in Nassau. And you must agree with Mr. Hunt that the all inclusive properties will kill everything else. And what type of economic ignorance anyway when government uses taxpayers money to promote these properties and they (the properties) want to keep the tourists hostage. Yes and the naysayers will hop on the crime issues but statistics will bare the facts out that tourists are very safe in the Bahamas. In fact more safe in Freeport than most metropolitan cities around the world. People still sleep with doors unlocked and vehicles open. The Bahamas needs sto stop going a whoring after the great, big financial harlot and build our country to suit Bahamians first. This is what attracted many thousands of high value persons to our shores over the years and their patronage was sustainable. Each time they come the experience is different. With the all inclusive it becomes stale after the second visit.
