That is an old, stale and stupid slave master lie. Isn’t it dumb to even think of sending guns all the way south then bringing them back north or northwest to The BaHAMAS. Incredibly stupid. And a lot of the drugs on the streets of the BaHAMAS is not natural marijuana. That’s why it is setting the young people off. May it has been weaponized. Something called ‘predator drugs’

The fact is, as far as murders in this country are concerned, the horse has been trying to catch up with the cart for the past four decades. Annual triple-digits- murder have been the order of the day and with at least eight general elections over that fourty plus year period, ALL political parties and all independent candidates made crime and especially murder a plank in their campaign platform. And thus far NO party elected has been able to make any significant dent in crime murders especially. There has been fluctuations, yes but crime still remains rampant and murders pandemic. And most Bahamians agree on two things: the penalty for murder is too soft and that persons charged with murder should not receive bail. And politicians, despite the constant rhetoric and barking, appear too soft to address any of these issues. What exactly is the penalty for murder when it appears that cold blooded killers go to prison, where most of their friends are and live for a while at the expense of the Bahamian taxpayers. Some, after a predetermined period, get bail and few ever make it to court for trial. In a period of one year, thirty seven people out on bail for murder was charged with, at least another murder and thirty five persons out on bail for murder were they, themselves, murdered. The numbers speak for themselves. More than fifty percent of murders involve someone on bail for murder. Now it’s time for the politicians dem to do something. Declare some type of state of emergency or something. But sitting on your hands and doing nothing? El Salvador is rounding up every person suspected of being in a gang. Some inn are caught up in the dragnet. But the end result is less crime, les murders and a safer country.

Don’t let The BaHAMAS get as bad as the US. Despite their obvious problems with gun violence, especially mass shootings, that country, or parts of it, are still about liberalizating gun laws:
.

‘There have been 163 mass shootings so far this year. There have been 131 mass shootings with four or more people wounded or killed so far in 2023 compared to 113 this time last year.4 days ago

atf set to destroy guns associated with Obama-era Fast and Furious scandal

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is set to destroy firearms associated with the Obama-era Operation Fast and Furious scandal, sparking a rebuke from the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee.

The ATF informed the House and Senate Judiciary Committees of its decision to dispose of the weapons this week. Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said the move was improper given the scandal was still a matter of public concern.

“Although the ATF apparently intends to forget its dangerous misconduct in Operation Fast and Furious, the scandal is still a matter of public concern,” Jordan wrote in a letter to the ATF on Tuesday. “Given the potential for ongoing criminal and possible civil actions, it is not in the interest of justice for the ATF to destroy potential evidence associated with Operation Fast and Furious.”

The ATF’s decision was made after the Department of Justice’s inspector general conducted an audit of an ATF storage site in West Virginia where “thousands of firearms, firearm parts, and ammunition had been stolen.”

As soon as video surfaced that contradicted the police report of the incident and furthermore indicates that this was not a regular police stop but something personal and had escalated to the point where police drew his service weapon and headshot the victim. And this was followed by a barrage of bullets ( at least 36) from other officers, they all should have been arrested and charged with first degree murder!
.
.
Some may say this is police bashing and being anti-law enforcement , but a corrupt police officer who is using his job to settle personal scores and his service weapon to commit murder, is more dangerous than any criminal on the street. And a police organization that is not willing to police its own officers and a gang of other police who are willing to participate in illegal and dirty deeds, murder, by a fellow police officer must not be tolerated in the least. Officers cannot commit crime to patrol crime or vomit crimes whilst being law enforcement officers. Making police officers accountable, alone will put a dent in crime.

TEN couriers owe the government $193 million! That averages out to $19 million each. What is the criteria for these companies owing such large amounts in customs duties and VAT? Is the courier company so lucrative that they thisb’crsxy’ amount of credit from the people’s purse? Retailers and many other businesses are required to pay all their duties and VAT before their import are released. Some can’t even get customs to release the goods until the freight is paid to the shipping company. These Courior companies must be enjoying very lucrative businesses to qualify for at least a $29 million credit line from government. Unsecured at that. And is it a level playing field with the retailers with whom they are in direct competition to have no credit line and have to prepay their import taxes?

The fact is Government would chase Bahamians to their grave (and beyond) for taxes. Hound them even to the gates of Heaven. But when it comes to foreigners, especially if they white, government seems to have a problem going after them and getting OUR taxes. So ass tge foreigners pay less and less and evade taxes more and more, the tax burden falls on Bahamians more and more. And at least seventy percent of Bahamian businesses are no longer profitable. So their tax arrears grows and increases with little or no means of paying the debt off. And some foreigners who already getting tax breaks run up millions in tax debt then skip town OR close the business and open up under a different name or company. So Figure this: if the foreigners whose ass-sets the government is kissing and giving tax breaks and concessions too cannot or will not pay their taxes, how the hell does government expect Bahamians to pay their taxes , which may be , at least twice as much and sometimes triple

And ever since this country decided to align itself with the US form of policing, ( military style and assaulting the public) crime and especially violent crime and murder escalated. The leaders and police were ignorant to the fact that this type of policing was founded in racism and only designed to be used against Black Americans or Black people visiting America. It was designed to evoke a violent or resistive response that would result in the suspect(s) being arrested or even being ) legally) murdered at the hands of the police. See evidence all over the US news today. And it started back in the 1970’s-80’s when the Ku Klux Klan changed their tactics to include having their members join police forces with the specific purposes of bringing harm, harassment, carnage and murder to Black people, and the leadership of this country police force took the bait and followed suit. Imagine going to high school sporting events and other cultural events back in the 1980’s and seeing police walking around in military gear with assault rifles . Then came the prevalence and culture of guns. Basically ALL AMo MADE! And if they are your weapons and your ammunition, not only in The BaHAMAS, but all over Sout and Central America and the Caribbean, then you must know how ya tings getting in these countries. But now you have the problem of gun violence in ya own country. An average of one mass shooting every .75 of a week. Now you feel the pain. No maybe you will find common sense ( though it is not your nature) and join forces and make a genuine effort to end gun violence

remember : iT wAS NOT Bahamian court’s decision to grant bail to persons accused of murder and multiple murders even. That decision was forced on this country by International ( human) rights organizations. Bail was not granted to persons accused of murder, attempted murder and violent personal assaults or rape. And the frequency of these incidents were minimal. It was NOT this country’s decision to do away with the death penalty. Again it was on the country as being ‘barbaric and inhumane’. And when the death penalty was in effect, murder was not a prevalent crime in this country. So it’s not barbaric and inhumane for a population to have to live under the fear of murder? Separate yourself from the world, O BaHAMAS

A 28 y/o transgender woman shoots up a Christian school, killing six people including three children. Police are called to assist in transporting a patient with mental issues to a mental institution. Despite the patient being subdued and handcuffed and shackled, the sheriffs deputies pin the patient on the floor and all seven of them pile up on him. SEVEN adult bodies piled up on a mental patient until he is no longer responsive. He is dead. Earlier this week a man was charged with the murder of three individuals and the attempted murders of two others. A adult male was found shot to death and his body burned. And three young men is now being charged with shooting and probably attempted murder of s police officer. Where did this murder come from almost four decades ago and how long will it continue on? Some say violence will increase even more and more and until the end of time. Mothers will continue to wail and pull their hair out over their dead sons, the earth will continue to open up and swallow pools and pools of innocent blood. And the spouses and families of police officers will continue to have to pray and have sleepless nights and even restless days when police officers go to work.
