This Zika thing is just a money making, fear mongering and subliminal attempt at population control. Imagine if they can get 1/3 of the child bearing population to postpone their pregnancy for three to 6 months. They already have developed strains and mutations of this virus and allegedly have a vaccine that only works on certain races. So while they can effectively stop certain populations from reproducing, if only out of fear, others will be able to have healthy pregnancies and have healthy children with no deformities.

That's their BEC BPL bill that has trippled

Don't be shocked!!! But many consumers are finding their July -August bill irs three times what their June bill was. Now we all expect our August - September bills to increase but to to triple?? What the hell. And the same sh!t from Cable Bahamas. They claim they was giving free channels when they was reorganizing their network but now persons getting bills for $400 and $500 for the month of July when they only sign up for basic package. URCA needs to investigate this because many families don't have $500 to give Cable Bahsmas for one month service so now their cable off. Pi$$ on that

BTC's Top UP is sending a lot of small businesses into bankruptcy. Vendors only receive 6% commission for selling Top Up and from this they have to pay all expenses, including internet, light bill staff, rent.amd more. Some stores owners do not realize they are actually selling Top Up at a loss until eventually they can no longer find money to purchase it or to pay their other bills. Then it is too late. They have a cash flow problem, but some borrow money to purchase even more Top Up and the same thing happens all over again. Imagine selling $100.00 worth of a product and you are only left with $6.00 out of it to pay your bills. the other $94.00 goes back to BTC.

It is always sad and unfortunate when someone loses their life, especially by persons known to them and their family. Fortunately for the country, the murder rate is still trending down and will more than likely be under 100 by years end. There is still a good possibility of the count being under 90 (yes the lowest in ten years) as September and October are not active months for violent crime. September 2015 recorded 3 murders and if the police continue their viligence, persons exercise tolerance and common sense in conflict resolution and citizens continue to help police flush out know and dangerous criminals, then the peace in the country will continue.

You shoulda watch the Whether Channel this morning. Those guys seem to be mad because the system dissipated. It was like a comedy suspense. They kept checkin to see if the inner wall would reappear and even after the hurricane aircraft suspended its flight they were saying "a whole lot of new conditions would have to happen for the system to redevelop. Finally they admitted that when the wave passes over Florida, most residents won't even know it

Back to basics: The Bahamaian people by way of its government, led by Perry Gladstone Christie has already invested and given over $1 billion to Bah Mar with no equity. One third of the value of the project. If the government sees the need to grant more concessions and gifts to this project then they need to come bail out every Bahamian business that is struggling, pay off every mortgage for Bahamians and cancel all VAT and property taxes for the duration of the concessions with Bah Mar. Remember the problems with Bah Mar were caused by a contractors shoddy performance and strong arming by the bank

The PM's own words at that they made an agreement with China ExIM bank to finish the project because investors did not want to purchase an in completed project. Yet he goes on to say that various sections of the project, golf course, will be up and running in due course. So if no buyer has been confirmed and there is no deal inked, who will be operating Bah Mar? It seems to get even stranger because of an investor can get China Bank to spend an additional $600 million and what can be close to or even more than $1 billion shouldn't there be some tangible commitment from the investor to ensure that he does not back out? In fact the deal should be so complete, so finalized, that the investor should be named and the 'For Sale' signs taken down. Bahamians are skeptical, very skeptical of this deal and they have the right to be, if only because of the track record of Perry Christie and his government and their bowing down and very secret stove relationship with the Chinrse.

Chris has had a full, eventful and successful career on the track. He has been active more and longer than most Bahamian athletes in his generation, if not all. After his bronze performance at the Rio 2016 it is the wisest thing to do, step off the tracks and participate at another level. He has participated in events at all levels and travelled to almost every country around the world that is active in track and field. Sharing his knowledge and experience with the younger athletes and helping with their training is a wise and proper thing to do. He was never selfish and is a true International, Bahamian champion!
