I don't know the circumstances under which the arrests were made, but if I'm sitting in a bar cussing out Perry Christie and his government, I would not expect to be arrested much less charged. That is an environment where politics is discussed even heatedly. But if you publish something so derogatory and so flaming about a public figure, any person for that matter, the police may investigate, just to know your frame of mind and your intentions. Police in this country pull machine guns during a regular traffic stop and some are probably just as verbally abusive and cuss just as much when carrying out their duties as what was done in the song. And unless you have them on camera or recorded of course they will deny it.
Well put it this way: Even if you don't respect the person who is prime minister at least respect the office. It is one of the highest in the land . And don't involve people's families in your gripe against them. Freedom of speech abused can be worse than no freedom of speech at all.
To see the things that are posted on the Internet about President OBama and the First Lady and her family and Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and other public figures. They say as long as it does not pose a direct threat. But don't believe Uncle Sam doesn't open a file on the poster and keep them on a watch list.
Then let those offended take the appropriate actions. If the police asked them to take the song off the airwaves and out of social media then any further should be left to the virtual complainanys
Bah Mar is basically a dead horse on the track and it will take some time to clean things up. What every Bahamian should concern themselves with is what is going on at The Pointe. What concessions did the government give China Construction on this project? What tax breaks? Why is the construction force still mostly Chinese while so many Bahamians remain unemployed? Who will be operating the Pointe and how many Bahamians will be employed when it is complete? What steps are being taken to ensure The Pointe does not become a second Bah Mar? Is there any truth to the talks that The Pointe is already missing deadlines and will not be completed in 2017? How is it that the government allowed a (Chinese) company accused of creating the problems at Bah Mar and causing the project to miss deadlines and eventually not open to own and construct a competiting property while Bah Mar sits idle with $1 billion or more of the Bahamian assets invested and the chances of opening growing slimmer by the day? A
We must not forget the hundreds of prayer warriors who pray daily for the safety and prosperity of this nation and the safety of the youth and for God to deliver them out of the hands of evil and wickedness. And not forget the Commissioner of Police, Ellison Greenslade, who fires and dismisses officers who engage in bad behavior or who commit crimes. His immediate action has sent a clear message to officers that there is no tolerance for law breakers. Now maybe its time to start praying for Bah Mar, even though most Bahamians have become indifferent as to whether it opens or not.

Do not forget South Eleuthera..were all the investors including the owner of Pan American Airlines, were kicked out and forced out by the government. South Eleuthera was the playground for the rich and famous with jet service several times a week. There were farms, aand canning factories, and the Us army base, and second home owners and yatcth owners. everyone had a job and those who wanted had two and three. Who was the minister of Agirculture when Hatchet Bay plantation met its untimely demise?
