Isn't this the time to call out the National Guard (Defence Force) and send them to assist the residents on Crooked Island? MY GOD, if only to give moral support. Didn't this government just spend over $200 million on sea craft that was suppose to be capable of transporting heavy equipment, like fire fighting equipment, to these islands? Isn't this the same government that was soo apologetic for letting the ball drop during the hurricane and even after? Stop sitting on your hands while Bahamians suffer or in peril. The Defence Force with assistance (supervision) from the fire department and 100 volunteers can put this fire out, or at least contain it in a matter of days if not just one.. Can we get some private aircraft owners to volunteer a few flights to take the people down and bring them back....Our government is still out to lunch!
Izmirilian must realize that the Chinese already have their claws around his $850 million. So if they can broker a deal as near to the $3.5 billion price tag on Bah Mar as possible (a deal that excludes Izmirilian), then write off the $850 million as expenses (or as much of it as possible). Then it is a win, win situation for the Chinese.
"Molly is dangerous because of the toxic mix of unknown chemicals; users have no idea what they're taking or at what dose. Unlike MDMA and other illegal drugs that have known effects on the body, the formulas for these synthetic drugs keep changing, and they're manufactured with no regard to how they affect the user. "You're playing Russian roulette if you take these compounds because we're seeing significant batch-to-batch variances," Santos says. For example, officials have found completely different ingredients in drugs sold in the same packaging. Santos also says the amount of active ingredients can be dangerously different, because "the dosing for these sorts of drugs are in the micrograms. The room for error is tremendous, and we've seen a lot of deaths with some of these compounds." .
It is time for the government, parents, schools and other organizations to start a national campaign to inform the youth about the dangers of street drugs. The weed on the streets is not what your uncle or cousin smoked. It can be any leaf steeped in dangerous, deadly lab chemicals that can change your life forever. While there are no clear symptoms, "The effects can vary widely, depending on the chemical, but while users are under the influence, they may exhibit the following symptoms: sweating, jaw clenching, violent or bizarre behavior and psychosis. After the drug has worn off, a user may show signs of depression or may not be able to get out of bed for an extended period of time."
'Now you're screaming, so let's do another one,' Clinton said. 'I don't know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped up on crack and sent them out onto the street to murder other African-American children,' he noted. 'Maybe you thought they were good citizens,' he added, before railing against the hypocrisy he suggested that the protesters represented. He punctuated his throaty response with, 'tell the truth!'
How much are drugs influencing crime in the Bahamas? Not only from the point of drug dealers warring with and killing each other, but how many crimes, including murder are carried out by persons 'high' or strung out on drugs? Many people are of the opinion that marijuana is a harmless drug, but the talks on the Bahamian street are that there is very as marijuana or 'weed' on the streets. Most of it has been tampaerd with. Dusted with molly or estacy, sprinkled with battery acid or some how een altered to make it not only more potent but more addictive. And most of the drugs, like molly are lab created chemicals, mostly made in China, that can cause permanent damage to one's vital organs in a single use and even death: . "Someone who buys or takes Molly now is probably ingesting dangerous synthetic drugs that have not been tested and are produced in widely varying strengths. The DEA says only 13% of the Molly seized in New York state the last four years actually contained any MDMA, and even then it often was mixed with other drugs. The drugs frequently found in Molly are Methylone, mdpv, 4-mec, 4-mmc, Pentedrone and MePP."
Persons who have smoked tainted or laced marijuana have been known to 'go crazy'. They have wild halliincinations, foam at the mouth, become disorientated, and can go days and nights without sleeping. . "The lab-created chemicals mimic the effects of MDMA; most of them are central nervous system stimulants that cause euphoric highs. They can also cause a rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, blood vessel constriction and sweating, and can prevent the body from regulating temperature. Some of the chemicals have been reported to cause intense, prolonged panic attacks, psychosis and seizures. After they wear off, the chemicals can cause devastating depression. Several of these compounds have caused deaths."
.
The depression that follows the 'high' is one of the most significant factors because it causes the drug user to seek another high and still another trying to reach the first 'high'.
But the problem is that since these drugs are unregulated the effect of smoking tainted marijuana is never the same. .
So Raymond Winder say Sarkis latest offer was in vain because Bah Mar is in receivership and under the control of the supreme court. Yet the Perry Christie led government was not only able to get permission to cause the convention center to be completed but also able to host a week long convent in a property that is in receivership and supposedly on the market for sale. Now tell me what kind a deal that is?
Marriage to a US citizen does not automatically give one right to citizenship. There is still a process. A process that can take upwards of 5 years. Then once citizenship is granted the couple is still monitored to see if the marriage was genuine or just one of convenience. Also if the immigrant spouse is determined to be undesirable or if he engages in criminal activity his citizenship is revoked and he is returned to the country from which he entered the USA on in the alternative his country of birth. Unfortunately the Bahamas will not have the powers to force countries to take their citizens back. Especially after they have relinquished their citizenship . Do not make citizenship automatic.
