What crime prevention measures and programs does this government have in place? Even before this present government came to power, it was suggested that more be done to reach out to young men and boys before they become involved in crime and caught up with drugs and gang activity. No one can deny that a great part of the problem the country faces with crime and our young men today is that too many homes have no father or father figure in them and we have an education system that is saturated with women, who despite the excellent job they are doing, they cannot teach young males how to be men. And so when teenage boys are courted by gang leaders and drug dealers and promised a rich, flashy and glamorous life or promised full protection and a lifestyle of gang banging, it is only after they get caught up in these lifestyles that they realize they made the wrong choice. It was suggested that teams of men, including police officers, church ministers, social and civic leaders and businessmen visit all junior and senior high schools and meet with student, especially with the male students. Someone needs to tell them that if they join a gang, chances are that they will be killed, even by someone they do not know and only because they are a gang member. Tell them also that they may also be required to kill someone, who may be close to them or who they do not know, only because that person is a member of another gang. They must also be taught that it is illegal to be a gang member or get involved in gang banging. Tell them if they sell drugs, they may be caught up in turf wars and could lose their life because of it. Drug dealing may seem to be lucrative but it is a dangerous and a short lived lifestyle. Show them the benefits of being law abiding and productive students and try to make more opportunities available to the lower income males who are more at risk for becoming anti-social and involved in crime. Try to recruit males, retired police and customs and immigration and defense force officers and persons from the private sector to be in the schools and hold male on male sessions at least once a week. Then add some rewards to the school curriculum. No student should be allowed to graduate high school without being given the opportunity to get a driver's license. Time to realize that every student will not be academically inclined. rather than allowing so many to come out of school with a "d" average, add diversity to the program where students came graduate with some trade or skills rather than a failed transcript.

RBC is operating out of the Bahamas and the Caribbean with a half packed suitcase. After 100 plus years in these markets they are not use to operating at a loss. So they are not sure if to run to the hills or stay and fight it out. Many long time business operators have had the the experience of being snubbed by RBC or having services that were extended to them for many years terminated. The fact is that despite the tough economic climate, there is much money (liquidity) in the market. While other banks have eased their lending policies and are taking chances in the market RBC seems to want to hold firm to theirs and rather not loan money that is not well secured. This puts them in a position where they are virtually telling high value customers basically, 'we don't care if you take your money and run with it.' And for those who keep large amounts of cash on deposit at RBC, they are virtually paying the bank to keep it for them. This has given local banks, like CB and Fidelity, and unprecedented presence and advantage in the market. Unfortunately BoB screwed up their opportunity. its no longer about loyalty. RBC is trying to make up for some of its loss loans by high service fees. Support the banks that best cater to your needs and are lest costly

Some say it is the souls of all those children that was aborted (abortion ) in the 1980's, 90's and even now that cause the spirit of murder to loom over the Bahamas. The spirit of the aborted crying out for justice. Young women having two three and even more abortions in a single year. Taxing the distressed 'father' for $300 more to get a D&C.

dpm davis says your fuel surcharge for your october light bill (2015) is 60% (s i x t y p e r c e n t) less than it was for October 2014!!!. I am sleeping at the post office to see if this is so, because this has been an extremely hot October and November, when A/C's use is usually cut down to half. Don't arrest me if you see me sleeping on the doorstep of the post office.. I only waiting to see my October bill! (p.s I will be wearing a FNM cap and a "half PLP" shirt) it get lil bleach out still! from the hot sun.

Our streets are flowing with innocent blood. Blood Boldly shed by demon filled animals disguised in human bodies and who have no regard for human life of the sanctity of it. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Bahamians, family and friends and aquintances of those who have lost their lives in such violent, bloody and untimely way can only continue on by living shattered and empty lives. Lives incomplete. The joy of their love ones is gone forever and the void and emptiness that is left cannot ever be filled. Not in this life at least. Many who have not yet lost a relative or close one live sheltered and overly protective and restricted lifestyle for they too know the sudden and instantaneous effect of murder, that short and life flashing instant that changes a living soul into a dead, bullet riddled corpse. On the side of the street. In a car At the bottom of a canal and even in ones warm bed. Yet those in charge of crime, at least two or three of them are still in denial! They continue to point fingers, play the blame game and accept no responsibility. Yes our streets are flowing with innocent blood. Time for a coming together to fight this crime monster and to conquer the spirit of death that looms over this country. Time to stop pointing fingers. Jesus wept for his friend Lazarus had died. Weep Bahamas for too many have died.

Is it a little too late to march now. More murders are out of jail than those who have been convicted. Marching will not fix that
